Easy Peasy

Now if you have come to me from The Cute Daisy May Challenge Blog, then your on way cause I have the privilege of being first.
Our challenge for the Hop was to make a card and use Gems and this is what I came up with

This little cutie can be found Here and is on sheet 47.
She is coloured with copics and mounted on Spellbinders Nesties which I have used Tattered Rose Distress inks and Crafters Companion Gold Spray on. The papers are Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses. The flowers are made with my new punches from Cuddly Buddly and are by Nellies Choice, I love them they emboss too! Oops musn't forget the important bit the 'Gems' are from my stash.

I kinda got a bit carried away with this card and carried on inside where I used this fab image from Sheet 115

I made the card into an Easel Card and cut her off of the swing she was sitting on in the drawing and attached her to a wooden swing (ok a bit of lollypop stick attached with wire), so that she swings when pushed.

A quick side view

I hope this inspires you!

Now onto the important bit your reward for getting through this post is to be entered into the draw for these cute Fairy Doodle Stamps.

Just leave me a comment to say you've been and it would be great if you could pass the word around.

The letter you need for the Cute Daisy May Prize is C

From here you need to go to the super talented Lorraine - Aka Coldwaters2

I forgot to add that I have entered this card into the Saturday spotlight with Hidden Potential Challenge which is Hats. My CDM on the swing has a lovely bonnet.

Marlenes Sketch

I was asked to do another card using the same image and sketch that I used for the Sugar Bowl Challenge for a friend's twins birthday.

The papers are Eskimo kisses. To give a bit of depth I decoupaged the umbrella and bird, which I attached with silicone.

Challenge 6, Hazels sketch, Challenge 4

I got this cute digi snowman today from Victoria Case.
I would just love to know what secrets that snowman is telling the moon, although I have a sneaky suspicion their probably talking about the weather!

The challenge over at Victoria Case Stamp Challenge this week is a colour combo of Navy Silver/Grey and White.
I didn't think at first I would be able to fit this image into those colours, but in the end I think it kinda works okay.

I followed the sketch from Moving along with the times as it was a nice simple sketch, which I think fitted the image better. Creatalicious Challenge is Christmas snowflake and sparkle. So this fits for that one as well.

Snowman was coloured with Copics and a really fab Marvy Marker 'Twinklette' which would you believe I have had stuck in a drawer since before dot and never used, now I know how lovely it Im gonna be using it on v€erything.

Challenge 24

This little beauty from Sugar Nellie arrived on my doorstep on Friday and this has been my first chance to ink it up.

I followed Marlene's sketch at The Sugar Bowl, this week it is to include the added element of Zig Zags. I covered this by using the Pinking blade on my rotacutter. Papers are Eskimo Kisses.

I coloured the image with Perga Liner Water Colour Pencils and Sakura glitter Pens for the flowers and of course Glamour dust for the added sparkle. I mounted the flowers on an icicle from the Range and added some Swavorski cyrstals for bling and Woodware fluffy stuff for the snow.

I'm also entering this into the Kraftin Kimmie Challenge which is
Christmas/Winter and Cute Card Thursday Teens.

Red Christmas DT for Cute Daisy May

Went to France on Saturday for a day trip with my work colleagues and had a four hour lunch - but I think all that food didnt agree with me and to serve me right I had the mother of all migraines yesterday so didnt get to make my DT card for
Cute Daisy May till this morning.

This week we want to encourage you to get well ahead of your christmas card list and make a card with the theme Red Christmas.

Couldnt quite finish it in time for the new challenge post but thought I would share it anyways.

This little poppet can be found on Sheet 115 Here.

I coloured her in Copics and Perga Liner water colour pencils. Added glitter for bling and snowflakes cut with a spellbinders die.

challenge 28

Just a quick post I made this card following the sketch at Papertake Weekly.

The image is a download from Cuddly Buddly Crafts. DP's are Eskimo Kisses by Basic grey. I added snow Tex round their feet, havent used that before and I have to say am well impressed with the results, I reckon I will be using this loads (should have got two pots lol). Snowflakes are from the xmas decorations section at the Range with a spellbinders die cut one to add a bit of extra bling.

Copic Colour Challenge 40 GDT

I added my name to the list of wanna be guest designers for the Copic Colour Challenge and was asked to join in with this weeks challenge. Thanks for the invite Adele. This weeks challenge is sponsored by In Style stamps

The colours for this weeks challenge are Karen's choice; RV23, YR04, YG06
Once I pulled these colours out I just knew that I needed to use a pixie digi image from Charmed Cards and Crafts.

I just love easel cards and couldnt resist doing just one more, which gave me an excuse to use another pixie and decoupage flower for the inside. The papers, buttons and decoupage flowers are from the Bloom and Grow set, by My Minds Eye. I cant wait to see what you all come up with for these colours.

Snow and #78

I was one of the lucky 150 to recieve a free digi image from In style Stamps. I chose an adorable Dressmaker, known as Seamstress Cynthia, and for the eagle eyed amongst you this is not it.

As I was looking to see which image I wanted I spied this little cutie Sandy and I bought her to enter into the Instyle Stamps Challenge which is Snow themed.

I followed the sketch from Friday Sketchers

I coloured Sandy in Copics and added the essential glitter. DP is from Bearly Mine Designs. Matting done with my Nesties and the snowflakes are a mixture of Spellbinders Snowflakes die and Christmas Decorations from the Range.

The Range snowflakes are irridescent and look so cool IRL and they were really cheap. A big thanks to Ju
for the tip. If you havent seen Ju's blog pop over and take a look she has some lovely creations.

Texture - Cute Daisy May DT

Hello, Monday's here again already, how quick does that weekend go?

But what it does mean is that it's time for another challenge over at Cute Daisy May which this week we're going Touchy Feely with 'Textures' as our theme.

I still need to make loads of Christmas Cards so this my piece this week is helping out the cause.

I have chosen this cute Daisy holding her Poinsetta and coloured her with Copics. You can pick her up from Linnie Here and for those of you who may be a bit strapped for cash with xmas just round the corner, dont worry Linnie has put up the most adorable Elf which you can download for FREE. (I can't believe I didn't see him before he is a def must have lol).
I added fluffy stuff and glitter to her coat and dried it with a heat gun.

The ribbon is felt which I got last year and totally forgot I had Duh! Flower is a mixture of Petaloo and Hero Arts. I used my dot folder in the cuttlebug for a bit of extra texture.

Thanks for looking and I hope you will be taking part this week - I cant wait to see what you come up with. Oh and by the way Linnie is looking for a Guest Designer.

Apologies to anyone I didnt get round to seeing last week was having a bit of a computer meltdown.

This cute little guy is from Whimsy Stamps. I have coloured him with Distress Inks. I used my distressing tool around al the papers and used Vintage Photo Distress Inks on the edges.
The papers are from the set I got at Costco's. Ribbons are Anita's. The bone and paw prints I stamped and then triple embossed.
Nope you aren't seeing things the sentiment is upside down - I will sign the 'fession' yep it was a bit of a boo boo, but I kinda liked it - it sort of goes with the quizzical look on that dogs face.

I made this card for the Copics Colour Challenge which this week is

The images are from the Greeting Farm coloured with copics.

I made the background paper with my Spellbinders Snowflakes embossing template and cosmic shimmers.

Forest Green, Cranberry, Cream

Well computer finally gave up completely today, with a terminal case of old age. Managed to get to Reading and buy the components for a new one though, which OH is loading now so hopefully I will be back in action soon.
I had printed a page of digi images in the week that I wanted to use, but unfortunately no papers so it has been a matter of scratching around to find some papers to go with the images.

this image is by Victoria Case and I think fits really well for a mans xmas card I will probably add a cheers sentiment as soon as I can print again.

I coloured the image in copics and added fluffy stuff and glossy accents to the pints.

I used the colours Forest Green, Cream and Cranberry which fits with this weeks challenge at Victoria Case Stamp Challenge

Challenge 23

After having a week of feeling too k.......d to do anything by the time I've got home from work, it was quite relaxing to have a bit of a play today. I really wanted to have a go at the easel cards that are all over blogland at the moment and am quite pleased with the result although I managed to put the brads in skew whiff duh!
I followed the sketch from The Sugar Bowl with the added element of Thankfulness.
The image is from the sugar nellie autumn collection.
The Deer I stamped out a couple of extra times and was really pleased when I managed to turn it around by stamping onto acetate and then rubbing onto my paper. Not sure if that is the best way of doing it but it worked!

I coloured the images with Copics and added fluffy stuff and glitter to the girls hat and coat sleeves.

The thank you charm was a pressie from Whimsy Stamps. Flowers are Hero Art.

Papers are My Mind Eye, I distressed all the edges and inked them with Fired Brick and Vintage Photo distress inks.

The Pixie Cottage Candy

The Pixie Cottage is giving away this fab candy to qualify you have to pick your favourite and give the reason why.

Should be easy cept I like them all, the penguins are great and look so cute in their wooly hats, the reindeer with baubles on his antlers looks like fun plenty of bling to add to them, but I think most unlike me the best is the little girl with the sled, this looks like such a versatile stamp that can be put with so many different scenes or on its own.

Frosty the Snowman - Cute Daisy May DT Card, All that sparkles

It's time for a new challenge at Cute Daisy May and this week we want to see what you come up with for a 'Blue Christmas'

For my card I used this cute snowman, he has such a happy face I can't help loving him.
I coloured him with Copics and used flake (that is Flake and not a typo, not sure what it is really called as it was a pressie)glitter for his body, which gives him a real sparkly snow look IRL.
I then got a bit carried away and used Glitter Board for my matting and Layering and the snowflakes which I cut using my Spellbinders Snowflake die.
I used the Spellbinders snowflake embossing folder highlighted with Persian Sea Cosmic Shimmer Iridescent Mica Pigments, which gives a lovely effect when the light hits it.
I added some gems and a crystal for his nose, to complete my card. I used Sticky pads and silicone to attach my snowman to give the card some depth which you can sort of see here.

Linnie the creator of Cute Daisy May has got into the Christmas Spirit early and is giving away a sheet of four fabulous xmas images, so if you like this cutie Snowman you need to head on over to the Cute Daisy May Blog to grab yours now. The great thing about them are they are digital so you get to use them straight away no waiting for postmen strikes to finish and you can resize them to fit your project.

Dont forget to visit the rest of the DT's blog and check out their creations.

I am entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge which is All That Sparkles, The
Creative Card Crew Snowflakes Our Daily Bread Designs Shimmer and Cooking it up with Katie a recipe challenge - Start with Christmas add sparkle and finish wih a border
