Colour The Dark Side

The challenge at Make it Crafty this week is to colour the dark side!

What we want you to do is to take an image and colour it normally then recolour it dark.

For this challenge I have used Annabelle to start with I used the BV's 0000, 000, 01, 02 04 and YG93, 95 and 97

and for her darker side I used N7, 5, 3,1, 0 and C7,5,3,2,1,0 with a splash of R17 This is the first time I have tried colouring an image just using the dark greys only and was really pleased how it came out I was a bit worried that I wouldnt be able to get the shading right (not that I ever get it totally right lol) but I dont think they came out too bad.

Dont forget that the great thing about the Make it Colourful challenges are they are all about the colouring so dont worry if you havent had time to finish a project as long as you have coloured the image yourself using your preferred medium and this even includes comuter graphics then you can enter it for your chance to win a $20 gift voucher for the amazing Make it Crafty Store and if you use a make it crafty image you also get a chance to win 2 digi images. So get those colours out and bring out your dark side.

Colouring Movement - Make it Crafty

The fortnightly challenge at Make it Crafty this is time is to colour movement and oh wow I found this challenge real hard.

My very poor attempt is of Lulu swinging I wanted to give the impression that the swing was moving so using the My Craft Studio programme I copied the picture three times, I changed the density of 2 so that they were a lot lighter and twisted them slightly I then layered the back on top of each other.

I used Derwent Pencils for the image and tried to keep the movement images real pale didnt quite succeed with the shoes though. Still thats the great thing about the Make it Crafty challenges they get you to try things that you never did before and experiment.

If you want to join in and have a try at the challenge pop over to the Make it Crafty Gallery and see what the rest of the team have done.
