Exquisite Princess

Had a play with some gorgeous images from Make It Crafty today and some of the New Memory dies that I got from Ally Pally.

I used Enchanted Unicorn from the Fantasy collection and Exquisite Princess from the Fairytale collection.
I merged the images together so she was sat upon the unicorn in a My Craft Studio programme. I coloured her with Copic pens and kept the unicorn real simple by just adding a few shadows  with some glitter pen highlights on his mane and tail.

Hope you like

Blonde Hair

It was my turn to post on the Make It Crafty store Blog and I chose the in house challenge of blonde hair. I wanted to have a bit of an experiment with different colours for a medium look blonde hair.
This is one of my first attempts and I was quite pleased with the colour combination except the highlighted area is not very distinct. So had another go with same combination.
Def more the look I was aiming for. having the two piccies now what better way to use them than on a bag yep still loving making them and card to match.

on a roll I carried on the theme and changed the colours that I was using slightly for the nest pics

thought I would try little bit darker for this cute little Frenchie Leon

and as things seemed to be going quite well and who am I to stop a creative roll I carried on and completed the last piccie in the Frenchie set. Again I changed the colour of the hair slightly.

I added some of the gorgeous chippies from make it crafty to these, which I coloured with copics and then sprayed with Crafters Companion silver glitter spray.

Hopefully you will have made your way here from the talented Suzi's blog and your already feeling inspired. If you didnt then hop right over to the start which you will find is at the incredibly talented Barbara'sBlog.

I got too play with the adorable Lady Lola and what better place for her to be than on the Make It Crafty background of the red carpet.

(Which is soo fitting for me cos I am writing this suffering from a slight hangover, having been lucky enough to attend the Glamour Awards yesterday (Tuesday), yep I got to mingle with the stars for the night and walk on the red carpet and even though I was there working it was an amazing experience.)

Oops back to my project which is why your here really. LoL

Yep I am still on a bag kick really loving doing these! this one is a bit bigger than the others I had so made my image a bit bigger than normal, so I have used both Copics and Prisma Pencils to colour.
I have used flowers from Wild Orchid, feathers and paper that I seem to have had for ages, but cant remember where from.
I hope this has inspired you in some small way and now you are of to see the fantastic creation made by the Green Godess herself Leila
Have fun and enjoy the rest of the hop.

Indian Warrior

Managed to have a littl play and make something just because I can today (well thats my opinion anyway). I'm not really good at making cards for boys and men, which is soo not good when you have three sons and two grandsons, but I just fell in love with this cute little Indian Warrior by Nellie Snellen, and have been waiting for a chance to ink him up.

he's been coloured with Copics, the papers are by Whiff of Joy which I have had for ages and totally forgot about! I am soo going to have to ban myself from bying any more papers or printing any till I have used some of my stash up!!!!!!

Gift Bag 2

Decided to have another go at a gift bag and didnt have quite so many disasters this time lol, bit dissappointed with the wings though had to use a new quickie glue and it really came out thick and fast, so glitter is not as delicate as I would have liked.
Image is from Lili of the Valley coloured with Copics

Flowers are Wild Orchid
Papers Pink Parfait Forever Friends
Ribbon coloured with copic pen

Left the back plain as soo much going on in front.

Image is from Whiff of Joy.

Coloured with Copics
Papers are called Isabelle by Sparky & Marie
Flowers are from Wild Orchid
Ribbon was white but I got the exact match by colouring with Spiced Marmalade distress inks then dipping it in water and drying with heat gun.

Rainbows - Make It Colourful

Hiya

A new challenge starts today at the MIC Clubhouse - Todays Challenge is R A I N B O W S.

I soo loved the new images Zoes's just bought out I just had to have a little play with them you can find all the new images here at the  Make It Crafty store

I have used the three Mermaids and combined them with stamps from Chocolate Baroque, which by the way Zoe is quite happy for you to combine her images with other peoples but not all artists are so please be careful which images you put together!

And where is my Rainbow? Yep my mermaids are my interpretation of the theme! I am soo  looking forward to seeing what your interpretation is going to be!

I have triple embossed all the images which has made them look a bit washed out ummmm not a godd idea when using copic paper I guess!

Backgound done with China Blue distress inks and silver buff and added some seed beads

Oh and if you want to see some more of these images and get some real great ideas pop over to make it crafty where the girls have got an amazing blog hop going!

Colour The Dark Side

The challenge at Make it Crafty this week is to colour the dark side!

What we want you to do is to take an image and colour it normally then recolour it dark.

For this challenge I have used Annabelle to start with I used the BV's 0000, 000, 01, 02 04 and YG93, 95 and 97

and for her darker side I used N7, 5, 3,1, 0 and C7,5,3,2,1,0 with a splash of R17 This is the first time I have tried colouring an image just using the dark greys only and was really pleased how it came out I was a bit worried that I wouldnt be able to get the shading right (not that I ever get it totally right lol) but I dont think they came out too bad.

Dont forget that the great thing about the Make it Colourful challenges are they are all about the colouring so dont worry if you havent had time to finish a project as long as you have coloured the image yourself using your preferred medium and this even includes comuter graphics then you can enter it for your chance to win a $20 gift voucher for the amazing Make it Crafty Store and if you use a make it crafty image you also get a chance to win 2 digi images. So get those colours out and bring out your dark side.

Colouring Movement - Make it Crafty

The fortnightly challenge at Make it Crafty this is time is to colour movement and oh wow I found this challenge real hard.

My very poor attempt is of Lulu swinging I wanted to give the impression that the swing was moving so using the My Craft Studio programme I copied the picture three times, I changed the density of 2 so that they were a lot lighter and twisted them slightly I then layered the back on top of each other.

I used Derwent Pencils for the image and tried to keep the movement images real pale didnt quite succeed with the shoes though. Still thats the great thing about the Make it Crafty challenges they get you to try things that you never did before and experiment.

If you want to join in and have a try at the challenge pop over to the Make it Crafty Gallery and see what the rest of the team have done.

Autumn Colours - Make It Colourful DT

Copics on the chair, Distress Inks balanced precariously on the cutter,  papers on the table, stamps everywhere, glue and scissors in the pot and glitter in me hair, yep I'm BACK.

Dont worry I'm not gonna bore you with why I have been MIA for so long, just want to say im glad to be back and the best bit is that I am still designing with the most amazingly talented DT in Blogland, which is of course the Make It colourful girls.

The new fortnightly challenge starting today is to colour using Autumn Colours.
Great challenge for me cos I love the autumn colours, I know it means that winter is just round the corner but Mother Nature sure knows how to say goodbye to the good weather. the colours at this time of year are amazing and luckily I live quite close to Epping forest so get to see the trees at their best.

And for my first project in such a long time it had to be a card using some of the fab new digis from the PARIS COLLECTION at Make It Crafty.

For my design I used elements from the Balcony Doors and Windows set, the Creeping Ivy set and Daphne Princess

For my design I would like to say I was inspired by the pre made scene that Zoe has done for those that don't want to merge images together, but the truth is I copied it unashamedly lol. I did start of merging the images but then decided it was such a great 3D scene it deserved a bit more than that.

I printed each element seperately and coloured them in as I couldnt decide which colouring medium to go for I have used a bit of everything lol.
The balcony door and railings are coloured in Copics. Daphne in Derwent pencils. Ivy in Big and Juicy and Brick Backgound with Distress Inks,

Once I had coloured all the images I cut them all out, including all the white from the railings. I then moulded each piece and assembled them onto the brick background, which is a sissix folder.
I have ended up with a true 3D scene of Daphne on the balcony all dressed up with I hope somewhere great to go. Im thinking she is looking to see where her prince charming has got to!

Colours Used
Daphne Princess Dress

Derwent Pencils: Pimento C450; Deep Red C130; Persion Grey C660
Balcony Door
Copics: E41; E40; E31; E70; E71; Y11; C1
Balcony
Copics: N3; N1; N0

Big and Juicy Stamp Pad: Spice
Brick Background
Distress Inks: Fired Brick; Tea Dye

Sheer Clothing - Make It Colourful DT

Were changing things slightly at Make It Colourful - so that you get more time to experiment with your colouring for the challenges were going over to fortnightly challenges. The Challenges will now be posted on the Friday so that you get all weekend to play and then you will have until the Wednesday of the second week to upload your project into our Challenge Gallery. (Dont worry this is a colouring challenge so if you haven't made your colouring into anything, it is still acceptable)

(and yep I know it is now Sunday and I am only just posting, but had a bit of a week hubby has just had a pacemaker fitted, so been backwards and forwards to the hospital, he's all home now and recovering well) luckily the Make It Colourful team have a real understanding Boss in Zoe who knows that for a lot of these challenges it is our first time trying them as well so she doesnt mind us being a little late.

This fortnights challenge was most definetly a first time for me and I am going to say it my self just in case no one else does lol - I am real pleased with how it turned out. (Six months ago I wouldnt have even attempted this, lol, thanks Zoe for pushing us)

I used Angelica Prays from the new Christmas Collection.

Hopefully I have managed to keep her modesty with my Sheer dress! I wasnt to sure how to tackle this challenge until I watched the 'you tube' video the link is on the Make It Colourful Challenge Site.

I first coloured her body with Copics and then did the dress using a red Derwent Pencil and Sansador. The hardest part was working out which way the folds went in order to get the shading in the righ places, not saying that what I have done here is right, but I think I have the right idea.

Hope you give this a try.
