Flower Faries Cute Daisy May DT

First of all I have to apologise to all the entries for last weeks challenge, I went away for the week so wasnt able to visit you all, but in the words of Arnie I will be back!

This week at Cute Daisy May is Flower Power.
My first thought was Austin Powers but with the best will in the world I couldn't put any Daisy onto a psychodelic (not sure thats how you spell it) card, she is just too cute.

In the end I decided to go for my own version of camouflaged Flower Faries, which meant I got to play with a few different faries.

The flowers are from Fred she Said Designs
Faries are from Sheets 17 and 18, which you can purchase Here

CDM DT - Lavender and Lace

It's Wendy's turn to set the challenge for Cute Daisy May and she would like to see what you come up WITH for the theme of LAVENDER AND LACE
Linnie draws the cutest images that so go with this theme that it took me longer to choose my image than make the card. (Please don't say it shows though).

I finally settled on this little cutie which you can find on
Sheet 4 Here. Linnie has been incredibly busy and there is soo many new images to purchase and at £1.99 for 6 images you cant go wrong. Or if your not sure about digi images why not pop over and grab the freebie to give them a try out and of course join in with our challenge.

The papers are from Joanna Sheens lace papers and DCWV brights Stack. As the lace paper is so intricate I kept the rest of the card very simple. I used my nesties to cut the matting for the image and coloured her with Copics. I threaded lavender velvet ribbon through my lace and thats it.

The Secret Crafter challenge is monochrome tones of one colur and white.

Cute Daisy May DT card

Another Manic Monday is here and back to work for me, (although having had the grandson here this weekend I need the rest lol)I'm on a course today about the internet so I'm hoping that it's not too technical, cos I dont do technical :-(

The good thing about Monday though is that its time for a new challenge at Cute Daisy May.
This week I got to choose the theme so I really hope you like it (if you dont I deny all knowledge hehe) and the theme I chose is Vintage.

For my card I used this gorgeous bride from Sheet 4 which you can get your hands on Here.

I used Vintage Photo Distress Inks and a clear Sakura pen for the dress which I think gives a nice aged look but still plenty of sparkle.

The flowers are a mixture from Wild Orchid Crafts and Petaloo. The lovely gold spacer was from Donna at Bearly Mine.

The papers are from DCWV the Elegant stack. I was going to use some lace on the card but decided the border which I punched with an MS punch fitted better.

Mats were die cut with my nestabilities.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges

Crafty Creations Love
Creative Card Crew Punch It
One Stop Craft Challenge Love n Kisses
Simon Says Punch It
A spoonful of Sugar Lots of Layering
Totally Gorjuss Dimension

Thanks for looking.

Wow it is time for the second challenge of the new year over at Cute Daisy May and this week the challenge has been set by the uber talented Katie who wants to see flowers and ribbons on your creations.

For this card I followed the sketch at Create 4 Fun but I didnt get any extra brain cells for christmas so didnt realise the sketch was for last week - although I dont think I was being entirely stoopid cause I checked the sketch out Sunday morning and the challenges are supposed to be posted on the Saturday urgh.

Never mind I still liked the sketch.

I am also going to enter this card into five other challenges the Cute card Thursday challenge which this week is Something New, which can be interpreted as something new in your stash or new as in baby etc. As this is an engagement card I hope it counts as starting out on a new path. If not the digi image is a new one from Linnie. The Cupcake Craft Challenge Girly.

Our challenge for the Hop was to make a card and use Gems and this is what I came up with

This little cutie can be found Here and is on sheet 47.
She is coloured with copics and mounted on Spellbinders Nesties which I have used Tattered Rose Distress inks and Crafters Companion Gold Spray on. The papers are Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses. The flowers are made with my new punches from Cuddly Buddly and are by Nellies Choice, I love them they emboss too! Oops musn't forget the important bit the 'Gems' are from my stash.

I kinda got a bit carried away with this card and carried on inside where I used this fab image from Sheet 115

I made the card into an Easel Card and cut her off of the swing she was sitting on in the drawing and attached her to a wooden swing (ok a bit of lollypop stick attached with wire), so that she swings when pushed.

A quick side view

I hope this inspires you!

Just leave me a comment to say you've been and it would be great if you could pass the word around.

Red Christmas DT for Cute Daisy May

Went to France on Saturday for a day trip with my work colleagues and had a four hour lunch - but I think all that food didnt agree with me and to serve me right I had the mother of all migraines yesterday so didnt get to make my DT card for
Cute Daisy May till this morning.

This week we want to encourage you to get well ahead of your christmas card list and make a card with the theme Red Christmas.

Couldnt quite finish it in time for the new challenge post but thought I would share it anyways.

This little poppet can be found on Sheet 115 Here.

I coloured her in Copics and Perga Liner water colour pencils. Added glitter for bling and snowflakes cut with a spellbinders die.

The DP is DCWV which I coloured with Distress Inks.

I am entering this into the Dare U 2 Digi Stamp Challenge which is Glitter.

Thanks for stopping by

Texture - Cute Daisy May DT

Hello, Monday's here again already, how quick does that weekend go?

But what it does mean is that it's time for another challenge over at Cute Daisy May which this week we're going Touchy Feely with 'Textures' as our theme.

I still need to make loads of Christmas Cards so this my piece this week is helping out the cause.

I have chosen this cute Daisy holding her Poinsetta and coloured her with Copics. You can pick her up from Linnie Here and for those of you who may be a bit strapped for cash with xmas just round the corner, dont worry Linnie has put up the most adorable Elf which you can download for FREE. (I can't believe I didn't see him before he is a def must have lol).
I added fluffy stuff and glitter to her coat and dried it with a heat gun.

The ribbon is felt which I got last year and totally forgot I had Duh! Flower is a mixture of Petaloo and Hero Arts. I used my dot folder in the cuttlebug for a bit of extra texture.

Thanks for looking and I hope you will be taking part this week - I cant wait to see what you come up with. Oh and by the way Linnie is looking for a Guest Designer.

Apologies to anyone I didnt get round to seeing last week was having a bit of a computer meltdown.

Frosty the Snowman - Cute Daisy May DT Card, All that sparkles

It's time for a new challenge at Cute Daisy May and this week we want to see what you come up with for a 'Blue Christmas'

For my card I used this cute snowman, he has such a happy face I can't help loving him.
I coloured him with Copics and used flake (that is Flake and not a typo, not sure what it is really called as it was a pressie)glitter for his body, which gives him a real sparkly snow look IRL.
I then got a bit carried away and used Glitter Board for my matting and Layering and the snowflakes which I cut using my Spellbinders Snowflake die.
I used the Spellbinders snowflake embossing folder highlighted with Persian Sea Cosmic Shimmer Iridescent Mica Pigments, which gives a lovely effect when the light hits it.
I added some gems and a crystal for his nose, to complete my card. I used Sticky pads and silicone to attach my snowman to give the card some depth which you can sort of see here.

Linnie the creator of Cute Daisy May has got into the Christmas Spirit early and is giving away a sheet of four fabulous xmas images, so if you like this cutie Snowman you need to head on over to the Cute Daisy May Blog to grab yours now. The great thing about them are they are digital so you get to use them straight away no waiting for postmen strikes to finish and you can resize them to fit your project.

Dont forget to visit the rest of the DT's blog and check out their creations.

I am entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge which is All That Sparkles, The
Creative Card Crew Snowflakes Our Daily Bread Designs Shimmer and Cooking it up with Katie a recipe challenge - Start with Christmas add sparkle and finish wih a border

Happy Halloween

It's a new challenge over at Cute Daisy May and this week we would like to see your halloween projects.

I have made some treat holders using some of Linnie's cute witches which you can purchase from here.

The bags were cut on my cricut and the images were all coloured with copics and I added a touch of glitter.

I just hope I get some trick or treaters now or I may have to eat all those sweets myself:-)

I am going to enter these into the Copic colour Challenge for this week.

I Love You, Clare's Sketch

The theme for Cute Daisy May this week is 'I Love You'.
I decided to go with this real cute image of two girls, which I admit I was going to make as a Sister card Cept I couldnt find a stamp for sister and I was being a bit on the lazy side coz I couldnt be asked to turn on the main computer to print out a sentiment, so it turned into a BFF card, which i think still works for the theme.
The image comes from Sheet 80 which you can purchase from Here

The image is printed onto pearlescent paper so the girls have a nice sheen which doesnt come across in the photo :-(

I coloured them with copics and added some sakura gliter pen. The flowers are a mixture of Petaloo, Hero Art and Craft Creations.

The DP is Basic Grey Porcelain Pad.

I followed the sketch from Sunday Sketch and Stamp which was done by Clare and I must admit I loved it, it was so nice to work with I just know I will be using it again.

Fairy Nuff DT Card for Cute Daisy May

Well don't know if you noticed but the title on my card has changed from GDT to DT - Linnie asked me to become a full time designer for Cute Daisy May well course I told her I would have to think about it, Not, I have always loved using digi images as they are so versatile and I adore Cute Daisy May, so of course it was a no brainer and I jumped at the invite.

So here is my first official DT card.

The challenge this week is Fairy Nuff (of course regulars to my blog will know, I dont do faries OFTEN lol) so this was a great theme for me. I used this gorgeous fairy which you can purchase from Here along with loads of other adorable images. (But don't worry you can still join us at CDM even if you dont have any of Linnie's images).
I coloured my fairy with copics, and added stickles to her wings for a bit of bling. The papers are double-sided from Costco, fairy charm is from BunnyZoe's and punches are Martha Stewart and El-Em.

I carried on the theme on the inside using another of those fairies by Linnie and the reverse of the papers I used on the front.

Thanks for looking.

Pink Christmas - Cute Daisy May GDT Design

The challenge for Cute Daisy May this week is 'Pink christmas'.

I have used what just has to be my favourite of all Linnie's christmas images, I think she is so adorable and can be used in so many different settings. Pop over to Cute Daisy May Digi Stamps to check out the other adorable images that you can get for just £1.99.

To make my background I used Red Brick and Tattered Rose Distress inks. I used the same colours on my CDM. I added Glamour Dust on liquid pearls for the fur trimmings and for her muff I added glamour dust to woodware fluffy stuff and heated it to give a really puffy effect. The sentiment is from a Fairy Doodles christmas set.

Easy As 123, All that sparkles

1 Ribbon
2 Buttons
3 Flowers
This is the recipe for the Cute Daisy May Challenge this week.

And this is what I cooked up.

The fairy is from Sheet 16 and can be purchased Here with four of her firends for only £1.99, dont forget these are digi images so you receive them straight away and you can resize and flip them to fit with your project.

I coloured my fairy with Copics and then got carried away with my newest must have item Cosmic Shimmer Aurora Cystal Sparkle Embossing Powder which I put on her wings, dress and the nestie cut backing paper. I just love the glitter effect without the glitter coming off everytime you touch it. I also put Cosmic Sparkle Paint on the flowers, this is irridescent so you can only see it in certain light but it gives a fab hint of green IRL.

I am also going to enter this card into the Creative Card Crew Challenge which this week is all that sparkles. I reckon there is enough glitter on this card to qualify lol.

Texture GDT Cute Daisy May

Well Monday got here all to quick again and its back to work for another week :-(, but to brighten the day up a bit its time for a new challenge over at Cute Daisy May which this week is 'Texture'.
I decided that I would keep this card quite clean and simple and have used embossed papers from DCWV and filled the gorgeous parasol with flower soft. The parasol is from sheet 42. I think this image is perfect for anniversaries and weddings.

Dont forget to check out the rest of the DT's creations, they are totally mind blowing.

GDT creation for CDM 'Baby'

The theme for Cute Daisy May this week is 'baby'. I was really pleased about that as it gave me the kick up the proverbial to make this cot which is for my friend Diane who has just had a baby boy.

The template for the cot is by Arty Farty sorry I dont have the link.

To decorate I have used some of the cute images from Sheets Numbered 79 and 40 which you can purchase from here. I have coloured them all with Copics.

Don't know about you but I adore that little giraffe, I just think he is the best.

Hope you have a great day.

Pink and ? First CDM Guest Designer Card

I am so pleased to be able to show you my first guest designer card I have made for the
Cute Daisy May Challenge.

I have used the fairy from Sheet No. 82 which you can purchase Here
Unfortunately it is not very clear in the pictures, but I have decoupaged her and placed her inside a box frame. As this made the card a lot thicker than normal I also made the box to put her in. I coloured another fairy for the inside to cover the indentation of the the frame.
I have used downloaded papers from funky Faries for my background and added flowers from my stash. The sentiment is from the Women's Collection by Whiff of Joy.

Thanks for taking the time to look and why not enter my Candy whilst your here celebrating my GD posts.

Thank You, No rubber Faries and Wings and Words

I am also going to enter this card into the Lots to do challenge which is words this week and the Allsorts challenge which is not to use rubber stamps.

I decided to make a push me pull you card for this weeks challenge over at Cute Daisy May which this week is a Thank You card or something.

I have used another little fairy which is from sheet 82.
I printed her out on pearlescent paper to give her a bit of a sheen and decoupaged her for the front of the card. I put a single image on one side of the pull me and text on the other which I did on the computer.
I coloured her in copics and used Shimmerz on her wings and added Sakura Gel pen and glitter pen to the flowers in her hair.
I haven't used any DP's as I wanted all the focus to remain on the image.

The challenge for Papertake Weekly
is faries and wings so I am going to enter this one there too.
