Caterpillar Fun - Nana Vic DT

Had a bit more time to play today and coloured up this real cute little caterpillar by Nana Vic. He is soo much sweeter that the ones that have been chomping on my Hosta's lol.

He's been coloured with Copics. Papers are from Forever Friends The Good Life. Sissix Die to make the rosette. Sentiments from Lily of the Valley.

Oh by the way top piccie shows a little bit of the wooden drawers that I have altered for storing all my cuttlebug bits. I have been spending a lot of time trying to organise my craft area, working in the front room does mean that I need to kinda keep it neat, but I was soo running out of space.
So have organised all my stamps by stamping them on to A4 sheets and laminating them to stick the stamps on _ I numbered the sheets and then took photos of them and and made a catalogue in Excel to show the sheet and what drawer of the filing cabinet they are in. Wow what an achievement that was. The system even works lol.

Anyway back to my piccie here is a bit of clearer one. I dont think this one is available yet at Nana Vic's but should be soon, its well worth popping over though cause Vickie has got some great images that are worth checking out.

Shopaholics

Just a quickie, wanted to share this great image 'Shopaholics' which is by the talented Vickie of Nana Vic's.

I just love these 'ladies'. The sentiment is very dear to my heart and yep I know all the very best craft shops lol. the sentiment is from the docrafts Born to Shop range as are the papers.

Real simple card to show off the image and also cos mojo has wandered off somewhere, gonna have to see if I can find him soon.

For all those out there in the inner cities in the UK that like me are suffering from the mindless looters please try and stay safe.

Baby Cards

Benn having a little play this weekend with more of Nana Vic's cute Baby images. This little giraffe is probably my favourite though. I thought this card was kinda neutral but then decided more for a boy so had to make a girlie one!

The rest of the images have a bit of a vintage feel so thought I might try a vintage one but not at all happy how this turned out backt to the drawing board me thinks.

You can get all these images at Nana Vics Digitals.

Hope you have a great afternoon, evening, sleep.

Nana Vic DT - Easter

This gorgeous Easter image is an image by Nana Vic but for a limited time if you are a member of the Crafters Digital Art Centre you can get it for free to enter the 19th Challenge of Embellishments which Nana Vic is hosting.

The challenge is to use the image and use at least two flowers for embellishments, yep OK I know I only have one flower, thats because I didnt read things properly lol but I am going to use my border as my excuse cos thats got flowers lol. In fact I didnt do too well at all this time When Vickie asked me to make a card ready for the challenge I took it to mean that the challenge started on the 19th, but no dopey me it was the 19th challenge which has been running since the 10th lol, better never mind you still have time to enter as it runs until the 23rd.

Nana Vic DT

You could be forgiven for not realising that this gorgeous little piggy is a digi image from Nana Vic, he is a little bit different from what we would expect but hey Nana's have to send baby cards too. This little piggy doesnt have to cry all the way home cos he's not on his own Nana Vic has a whole little collection of baby animals and some real sweet word art to go with them, so if your in need of baby card images then head on over there.

I kept this card real simple and neutral for either a boy or girl, the image and text I coloured with copics and then triple embossed, the gingham ribbon I have had for ages and forgot about in the bottom of the box so when I saw it today I just had to use it. The corners are made with a Nellie die that I got yesterday too.

Mr Jones

Now this is my kinda man, one who can still find the kid in him and enjoy the simple things like splashing in the puddles, as long as the grandkids dont see lol.

Now this young at heart fellow is one of the new digis by the oh so talented Nana Vic and is called Mr Jones Puddles, oops just had a bit of a typo and called it Mr Jones Piddles lol. Anyway you can get him Here.

I have coloured him with Copics and have been practising my blue to purples shading on the umbrella which is the challenge at Make It Colourful this week. Now I have got the hang of this I really like the effect it gives.

I added some glaze to the puddle to give the water effect. The papers are from Paper Pizzazz Vacation.

Nana Vic And Make It Crafty DT

Story Time is one if the new images by Nana Vic which was inspired by a request from one of the members of CDAC. I put this image together with this versatile Fireplace Digi from Make It Crafty and using bits from My Craft Studio made a Christmas scene.

I coloured the images with Copics , the background DP I made using a Clarity Flourish Stamp and Fired Brick Distress Inks.

Using the first verse of Night befor Christmas I continued the story theme
and added another cute image by Nana Vic, which was one of her Vickie's Quickies, which she does on a Friday on CDAC and I know there are people there who just cant wait for Fridays to come round, so pop over and see what she has for you this week.

Anyways hope you like, Have a great day, evening anytime at all.

Warriors

I was asked to make a birthday card with a tribal image which I just didnt have - so I put in a request for an image at Crafters Digital Art Center and the fabulous Vickie of Nana Vic's Digitals managed to work out from my waffling exactly what I needed, and this is the image she sent me. Isnt it just fabulous.

The sunset was done on glossy card with distress inks and baby wipes, the moon is a stamp by Clarity.

I printed the image onto tracing paper and coloured the warriors with copics and mounted onto the sunset.

Added the frame which was made same way as the sunset with some leaves stamped on (still waiting for them to dry so I can touch up the leaf that didnt print)

I have never made a card like this before so am really please with how it turned out just a shame I didnt have any good embellishments that matched.

Tweet Street, Nana Vic DT

Wow it seems like forever since I have made a card and blogged.
The past few weeks have been a bit up and down, we got infested with Moths that decided my axminster was real tasty!!!!!! Of course they had to eat the area near my craft cupboard, which even I will admit is huge and very very full! So after having the Grandson for the weekend and really neeeeeding to recover we spent Bank Holiday Monday emptying my craft stuff so we could get to the carpet underneath to throw it away.

But things looked up and I went to the Graphicus Paradise Retreat met up with some really great people and had an absolute blast - its amazing how 6 complete strangers can get together and have such a great time. We didnt stop talking and laughing the whole weekend. But what goes up must come down and whilst I was there, the house got burgaled!!!!!!!!!!

Then this week my youngest Son who had only just started a new job after being made redundant months ago, his new company went into administration, hopefully though it looks like theya re going to be taken over and will possibly keep him on so keep your fingers crossed.

But oh so much worse than anything else, I have a cold but Hubby has MAN FLU. Not too sure if he will survive or whether I will put him out of his misery lol.

Anyways to my card. This image is called Tweet Street and is by the uber talented Nana Vic which you can get Here
I coloured the image three times in Copics and decoupaged it and made the background papers using a new resistance technique for me. some of the leaves came out real well others not so good, but in all honesty is probably the wrong type of stamp for this technique.

Here's NanaVic on her Jet Ski I reckon she is having great fun, she is deffo a Nana after my own heart. I have used Mystic Water papers from Rasberry Road Designs for this card and coloured Nana with Copics added loads of stickles to the water spray and glossy accents on the jet ski.

The shapes are some of my new stash,  Tim Holtz dies which are almost to die for I just love them so expect to see a lot more of them lol.

The sentiment is also from Nana Vic and you can get your hands on this and other great images Here

Nana Vic DT

Nana Vic is hosting one of the challenges on the Crafters Digital Art Centre and she has provided this gorgeous image of Nana writing a letter. The theme is something old.

I have made this notelet holder using the image on the front  with papers from the shabby rose collection by
raspberry road designs. To make it old I have distressed the edges and used vintage photo distress inks.
I continued the papers inside and added one of Nana's sentiments to the note and another to the note holder which I tripled embossed.
I punched out Nana's head and added this to the side with the envelopes.

Then just because I loved this image and style I couldnt resist continuing the theme and made this little post it note holder to go with it.

If you haven't seen the Nana Vic's images yet pop on over to her Store for extra inspiration pop over to Carol's Blog and see her stunning creation.

Nana Vic

Do you ever have one of those days when it doesnt matter what you do it dopesnt go right? (and just to prove a point I am going to leave the typo I have just noticed cause it does kinda sum me up. LOL.

Well I have had one of those days today! I've dropped things, spilt things and lost things. But after a lot of frustration I did finally manage to make my first official DT card using one of Nana Vic's new digis.

This is called Adoption and comes with some gorgeous sentiments for adoptive and foster parents. There is also a boys version and they can be found at Nana Vic's Digitals

I coloured the image with Copics the papers are Forever Friends from Docrafts. The sketch is from Creatalicious Challenges. Not too sure if it shows in the piccie but there is faux pas stitching on the card in sakura glitter pen.
I used the rest of the papers inside and one of Nana Vic's sentiments which I think is just perfect and can be used for so many occassions. I took the little rag doll from the image and once I had enlarged it I copied it and flipped the image for the inside.

When Life Was Simple

Just wanted to show you the card I made for my boy's birthday.

The papers are Sweetpring from Fancy Pants Designs.

I cut flower using the Tim Holtz Alterations Distressed Flowers Die Cut in my Bug. I distressed the petals with Fired Brick Distress Inks. and added a brad to hold thm together after a bit of shaping. The edge of the card was also done using a Tim Holtz Die Cut.

The Sentiment is from Nana Vic's shop from her Toilet Training Set.

Now bless his heart he said on opening the card and looking at the front that it was really nice, then he opened it up and had a good laugh.

Just so you know he is now 28. LOL.
