Wedding Days
A friend asked me to make 2 wedding Cards which seems very fitting for all the wedding fever in good old Blighty at the moment but No they are not for Will and Kate lol.
I used my Craft Robo to cut out the Petal Cards (which reminds me do any of you guys have the new ecraft personal cutter and know wether you can plot and cut your own images?)
The stamp I have had for ages not sure where from, it was on a wooden block but I took it off due to lack of space (or maybe thats too much stuff lol). Stamped with Clear Stamp Pad and embossed with Ultra fine Silver embossing powder. Mounted on mat from Spellbinders die
The flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts, leaves and pearls I have had for ever too.
Those gorgeous hearts were from a cake shop that had a closing sale, so I stocked up. The inside of the other card is similar just with a different type of paper.

Alyssa
Is this a pretty fairy or what? She is one of the new images that are currently available from Make It Crafty and is called Alyssa Elven Princess.
Being part of such a fabulous DT has really made me look at how I colour images and I have used this image to practise folds in the skirt and light sources. I am really pleased with how she turned out so think the practising is starting to pay off (just hope the Boss Lady agrees lol) The wings I coloured with copics using a feather effect and then sprayed with silver Crafters Companion glitter spray. Love the effect but I dont think you really get the full impact with the pictures.
Circles are spellbinders dies the plain circle I put into the swiss dots cuttlebug folder to give added texture the diamonds on the layers are also cuttlebug folders.
Heres a view of the inside of the easel card, the sentiment is yep you guessed it a cuttlebug embossing folder.
I layered the wings to give the image more depth and placed on the card with silicone so I could give her more shape, I did try to take a side view photo to show you but it is not to clear I was getting a lot of bounce back as the card is white pearlescent.Oh and can you see that fabulous signature, well this was a pressy to me from the lovely Vickie of Nana Vic fame.
I am entering the card into four challenges

Australian Flood Appeal Digi
This is the second Nana Vic digi that I wanted to share with you today, as I am sure everyone knows now Australia has suffered extreme flooding over recent weeks with many families having lost everything, So this digi has been specially designed
by Nana Vic in order to help raise money for the flood victims.
You can get the digi which is called Rainy Days Here for the bargain price of Australian $1
I have of course coloured the image in copics and added stickles for the rain and puddles and glossy accents to the boots. Papers are Citrus by Hot off the Press.

Kenny K Digi and Derwent Pencils
Kenny K has some fab new digi images and is looking for a new design team to try your luck pop over to Donna's Blog and get all the info.

Had to go to Moorfields the eye hospital yesterday for more tests on my eyes - they say they are getting better Yippee, so to celebrate I went to the art shop where Hubby picks up my Copics for me, havent been there before and wow what an Aladdin's cave. Well ages ago my DH brought me some Derwent Coloursoft pencils from there and I have tried to use them but never been very happy with the result so they have been kinda gathering dust.
Anyhoo I am always seeing cards that have been coloured with Prismacolours and Gamsol and they always look so great I thought I would see if they had them, apparently here in the UK we are not worthy of them and the closest is what I have got, Lady in shop wasnt sure if Gamsol would work for blending with them though, so got a bottle to try and here is the result, What Ya all think???????

This is a new digi from Kenny K, isn't she fabulous. Coloured her with the Coloursoft and blended with Gamsol. Papers are from Donna at Bearly Mine Designs from her Digi Sets Spots, Ginghams and Plaids. Another Flower using the Tim Holtz die which I added some beads to.

Peach, Dark Peach and Lemon
Well this card has definetely been a challenge for me and not least the taking of the photos. I started this card yesterday morning and have only just finished it.
The original inspiration came from the Jorunn at the WOJ Inspirtation Blog and I suggest if you want to see it done well you should hop on over there!
This card was a whole host of 1st's for me (and probably lasts lol.
The gorgeous images are all from Whiff of Joy 1001 Nights and this was the first time I had inked them.
Now as you may know yesterday the sun was shining and it was a too good a day to spend it indoors, so I decided to craft outside in my bikin (Good job I have very high fences lol) but there I hit my first problems it was too hot to use my copics they bled like mad - and my watercolours were drying too quick to do any sort of shading so I tried to do some colouring with Derwent pencils and blender pencil - looks like I need loads of practise. (although they look a bit beter IRL probably cos its no so close up and enlarged).
I then thought I would be well clever and use a sewing machine on the papers Umm not too clever obviously - that was soo hard to keep the papers straight in the machine they kept sliding off in every direction hence lines that are just sooooo not straight and these ones are about the 10th try! Something else to practice?
The flowers are also part of the set from WOJ which I stamped and coloured loads of times sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist and then shaped and layered them. Have to say I was pleased how they turned out.

These gorgeous swirls I cut on my CraftRobo and were a freebie from Lisa Jane at Filekutz and the papers are a mixture from Raspberry Road and Donna at Bearly Mine Designs

Somebunny's thinking of you
Well finally got a bit of good news this week, went back to Moorfields (the eye hospital)yesterday and they say the pressure on my eyes have gone down, they are still a bit inflammed at the back but I am going to be able to fly so hopefully if the volcano ash disperses soon I will get to Bali in two weeks fingers crossed.
Have been having a bit of aplay and tried out some of my new stash that I got from Ally Pally - only trouble is I couldnt decide what I wanted to play with first and ended up playing with it all and not making very much at all lol.
This I did manage to complete though.

The stamps are from Butterfly Kisses from the Around to it collection. I stamped him with Stazon onto acetate and embossed him and then coloured him with ultra fine glitter. Have attached him to the aperture which I cut using nesties with a thin strip of acetate and glued his back on. The flowers and sentiment are from the same set, although I think now I may have gone a bit overboard with them.
