So what are the challenges

Well there is

MERGE AS MANY IMAGES AS YOU CAN

I managed to merge SEVEN images for this picture

Daffodil Dell

Cici

Fifi

Notti

Toto

Vixie

I coloured the images with Derwent Coloursoft Pencils, because these new digi  images are soo cute I kept the card layout real simple and just added some of Zoe's gorgeous laser cut chipboard corners.
If you dont like the idea of merging images then perhaps you will like the next challenge better.
Your mission if you are prepared to accept it is
CHIPBOARD ONLY
yep we dont want to see any images on your creation OMG you know what that means
NO COLOURING!!!!!!!!!!!

I went the for the clean and simple look for this easel card, Zoe's lasercut chipboard is soo intricate and lovely in all honesty they really dont need to much to make them look stunning. All I have done is paint them with Silver Eco Acrylic Paint and used Silver Mirri Board for Matting.

These are all from the Butterfly Swirls Set

Added a Text and more chipboard on the inside Job done! One real quick easy card which if I have to say so myself I think looks real classy.

Now if that challenge doesnt appeal pop on over to the challenge site and see what the rest of the challenges are and of course get inspired by the Make It Colourful design team, who have some Jaw Dropping inspiration for you.

Little Miss Muffet Guest DT

If Blogger is behaving then this post is coming to you on Thursday, when its time for a new challenge at Little Miss Muffet Challenges. This week we want you to chase this gloomy summer away (for those in the UK anyway) and show us some WARM colours, yep we want to see your creations using RED YELLOW and ORANGE. I have used Coriander  which you can get at Little Miss Muffet Stamps, coriander is cooking up a storm  and what better thing than to cook up a friendhip so I have  paired her with the Friendship Recipe from Lily of the Valley.
Marianne and Spellbinders Dies, Wild Orchid Flowers and Copics were the ingredients that I used for this card.
Hope this inspires you to join in with the challenge.

Wedding Bliss

Some not very good photos of the card I have made for a friends wedding, I tried to take a photo with out the flash as the papers are pearlescent but the colours are oh so WRONG LOL.
This is with the flash and the colour is a bit better but the ribbon looks orange when in fact it is a mixture of Spun Sugar and Antique Linen Distress Stains and is a real nice of pink colour. The image is Lily of The Valley as is the music sheet.

Flowers are mainly Wild Orchid, the heart is from a cake decorating shop and the charn I have had for ages cant remenber where from

I coloured the image with Copics and sprayed her dress with Pearl Glimmer mist for added sheen.

Little Miss Muffet - Sneak Peak

Isn't she pretty I just love the softness of the dress of this little fairy Adela with her dog Dida. This is one of the new digi images from Little Miss Muffet Stamps due for release on Friday. This image also comes merged with a flower, which I didnt use as I just wanted the focus on the fairy.

This is the first time I have made an acetate card and I am really pleased with the result. I used my new die cuts from The Craft Barn to cut the acetate in my grand Calibur and then used a flourish stamp and purple Stazon to decorate.
The matting is made with  Marianne dies, and the image is coloured with copics and then I sprayed the wings with Silver Glitter Spray from Crafters Companion. I printed the fairy a couple of times and cut some extra wings to add more dimension.

This is probably one of the simplest cards I have made in a long time and I really love it.

Our Very Own Tim!!!!!!!!!!

I know how many of you adore Sir Tim but I met the next best thing, our very own English version of Tim,  Neil, he was one of the demonstrators at the Craft Barn Extravaganza last weekend and had some really brilliant tips.

So for once I thought I would give one a go before I forget how to do it LOL. Neil showed us how to make some backing papers with Distress Stains, which I don't have so thought I would try with Distress Re-inkers it kinda worked but only having four colours I was a bit limited on what to put together and used loads of ink. I then went down the mister route and put a few drops of Faded Jeans re-inker into a mister with water and used that, it came out quite well really although I think I NEED those Distress Stains.

I also had a bit of a problem with mu UTEE, and am wondering if it has a use by date cause instead of drying clear it dried really cloudy with a bit of a silvery hue! Very Strange! Still I added Silver Buff anyway so I guess that didnt really matter too much. I then added Bedazzle Beads to finish the paper off.

Looking at the paper, it just had to be a water scene of some description so got out some of the stamps that I got from the Paradise Retreat Weekend that haven't seen ink yet!!!!!!!

This Seadragon is an Elusive Image Design isnt it gorgeous, you can get this at Chocolate Baroque Why haven't I inked it before me wonders! I coloured it with Copics and then triple embossed it.

The pearls I made myself too, they are literally clear glue dots that I blobbed onto my craft mat and left over night to dry, I was originally going to colour them with perfect pearls but thought they looked like air bubbles just plain.

If you go to Neil's Blog he has a tutorial on the paper up and some of his fab work for you to drool over.

And whilst your there you can be real envious cos i am going to go to two yep thats right two lessons with him at the Craft Barn. Gloat Gloat.

Little Miss Muffet Guest DT - Number Challenge

I couldn't wait to share with you all that I was asked by Barbara if I would like to be a guest designer for the Little Miss Muffet  Challenge for the month of June.

The challenge that has been set this week is a Number challenge and  as I had quite fallen in love with this ohh soooo cute little monster 'Monster Mission' from the 'Monster Mash Collection', I knew he had to be the first image I used. He can be purchased from Little Miss Muffet Stamps along with some other real great images, the nice thing about the Little Miss Muffet stamps are that they are digital so you can resize or flip to suit your project and there is a real assotment of images, something there for every taste.

I went totally different to my normal cards and went for a real dimensional card, not too sure about the end result, interested to hear what you think!

I used papers and planets from the Crafters Companion Boys CD and cut cloud shapes for the space theme (do you have clouds in space) the planets and spaceman are attached with wires so they move around.

I coloured the moster and rocket with copics, but because the background papers are pearlescent I couldnt get a real good photo. I added the 4 today to the planet in the My Craft Studio programme. I am thinking this will be a good card for my little monsters 4th birthday.

Heres a bit of a side view so you get some idea of the dimension, the little spaceman I have decoupaged before attaching to the wire. Monster Mission has been fixed down with Silicone.
Well if nothing else I hope it inspires you to pop over to the challenge site and see the gorgeous creations the rest of the girls have come up with and I look forward to visiting and seeing your creations.

Treasure Where? Purple and Yellow

Yoohoo its the weekend and we got a bank holiday happy days. Hopefully I will be able to catch up with things and get a bit of quality craft time!

Of course being Saturday it means that we have a new challenge for you at Make It Colourful and this week we want to see the colours Purple and Yellow dont forget this is a colouring challenge so you must use those colours in your colouring NOT the papers.

I had a problem with my printer this week, it decided not to print :-( after I had already coloured Alvida the pirate for my card I had nothing printed to go with her so decided to abandon her and go with another image that I had printed out on cheapo paper to check out the size, all things considered it didnt turn out too badly but found that the darker colours tended to sit on the paper to long. Had to keep the papers simple as have very few to go with the colour scheme so hopefully made up with it by the abundance of flowers and flourishes.

For this card I have used
Miss Charlotte
and I have placed her on
Lonely Island
I also used some of my precious new flourishes
Fine Swirls
which I coloured with Purple Stickles with flowers from Wild Orchid, the little white roses I was lucky enough to win in a blog candy from
Deb's.

Copics
I used BV04, BV02, BV01, BV00, BV0000 for her top I used Y08, Y06, Y02, and for the sand I used
Y17, Y35, YR23, YR21

Hubby did manage to sort of get my printer working yesterday when I got home from work and so managed to print out some bits to finish my card with Alvida, who I think is the cutest little pirate ever.

Of course Alvida can be got from Make it Crafty in digital or rubber format, but for those in the UK you can now get the Make It Crafty rubber stamp range from Quixotic Paperie

Pictures im afraid are not too good whether was really dark by the time I managed to get photos of these, but here is a close up Of Alvida in all her glory (hmmm that sounds like she should be nude lol) it doesnt show well but I have shaped her a little bit and mounted her on foam pads so she is dimensional I also raised the treasure chest so she could really stand on it.

I tried a few different effects with the Map I started of using a tea Bag and dying it to get a real old effect, it looked great except the print ran and didnt leave her too many clues as to where to start digging lol. Oh for a laser printer! I next tried burning the edges which was okay till I went a bit far and almost set light to myself lol. So settled instead with good old Tea dye distress inks.
The sentiment got the same treatment.

I used the same copic colours as above.

Sunshine and Smiles

I just love this cute little Lily of the Valley girl, I reckon she really wanted a pony and nothing else is good enough LOL.

I coloured her with Copics to match the DP the orange papers are floral dreams by Foundations the green is card I have had in my stash for ever I think from the paperbox.
The swirls are Marianne designs die cuts and the Border is a Spellbinders Die.
I had already laid out my card when I found the perfect sentiment as I didnt have room for it on the outside I put on the inside and carried the theme through.
Here's a close up of the sentiment LOL. I would have liked a Dont worry be happy but thought this was quite tongue in cheek.
The tag is spellbinders too and the sentiment is LOTV.

Black and a Splash of Red MIC DT

Wow first of all I have to say a huge thank you to all who took part in our Blog Hop last I hope that you all enjoyed it and were inspired to grab yourself some of the fabulous images to have a play with. I love the circus theme so much that I just couldnt resist making another card using the Circus Tent Digi from Make it Crafty for this weeks challenge Make it Colourful which is colouring with black and a splash of red.for this challenge I did wimp out a bit and used my Derwent Colouring Pencils and gamsol.
the backing card is coredinations which I have run through my cuttlebug with a Tim Holtz mask and then lightly sanded over. I kept it real simple as I want this card for my sons birthday on Monday, Yep he is so special he even has a bank holiday on his birthday or thats what he keeps telling me lol, so I just added some buttons and left it at that. Even though his name is Alan I called the card Jerry;s Circus cos I found the perfect stamp within my stash for a circus
Isn't he just the cutest? I have put him on the inside so that he pops up when you open the card.
Here's a bit of a close up of Jerry
 and the tent.

Pencils used
Dove Grey, Persian Grey, Black, Scarlet.

Oh dah totally dont know where my head is you'll be wanting to know who our sponsor is this week.

Well you lucky folks you could be the winner of a prize from the fabulous Tiddly Inks
