Easy As 123, All that sparkles

1 Ribbon
2 Buttons
3 Flowers
This is the recipe for the Cute Daisy May Challenge this week.

And this is what I cooked up.

The fairy is from Sheet 16 and can be purchased Here with four of her firends for only £1.99, dont forget these are digi images so you receive them straight away and you can resize and flip them to fit with your project.

I coloured my fairy with Copics and then got carried away with my newest must have item Cosmic Shimmer Aurora Cystal Sparkle Embossing Powder which I put on her wings, dress and the nestie cut backing paper. I just love the glitter effect without the glitter coming off everytime you touch it. I also put Cosmic Sparkle Paint on the flowers, this is irridescent so you can only see it in certain light but it gives a fab hint of green IRL.

I am also going to enter this card into the Creative Card Crew Challenge which this week is all that sparkles. I reckon there is enough glitter on this card to qualify lol.

Fake It, Distressing and Buttons

Okay I know Ally Pally is on Saturday and I know I really should have waited but I had some Beatrix Potter Stamps arrive in the post today that I had forgot I ordered I hust love it when I get something like that) and I popped out to Costco to stock up on essentials like Loo roll (such an exciting life I lead) when I must have had my radar switched on high cos I found lurking among the shelves a fabulous find - a tote bag type thing filled with 12x12 vintage papers, well over 100 sheets and there all double sided, well could I resist of course not, I'm just gonna have to ration the loo roll now lol.

Anyway I couldnt wait to start inking these little babies up, so the first one I did is the Tailor of Gloucester.

I followed the sketch for Stamp with fun (only when I finished did I realise that the sketch was for last weeks challenge Duh), not that it matters cause the sketch fit really well. My rolled bits of paper are fake material, so if not too late could possibly enter into Papertake Weekly.

coloured image with distress inks and distressed the edges added some buttons ant there you have it.

I just got reminded by my blogger mate Charlie that this card also fits in with the Cupcake Craft Challenge which is distressing and the Whimsy Stamp Challenge which is buttons.

Thanks for looking.

Texture GDT Cute Daisy May

Well Monday got here all to quick again and its back to work for another week :-(, but to brighten the day up a bit its time for a new challenge over at Cute Daisy May which this week is 'Texture'.
I decided that I would keep this card quite clean and simple and have used embossed papers from DCWV and filled the gorgeous parasol with flower soft. The parasol is from sheet 42. I think this image is perfect for anniversaries and weddings.

Dont forget to check out the rest of the DT's creations, they are totally mind blowing.

challenge 2, Swirls and Pearls

Well this is just a tad on the late side - in fact skin of teeth comes to mind, but I made this card for Chelsea's Challenge, I think it also fits the Cupcake challenge which is Pearls and swirls - sorry not a great photo but if you enlarge it you can see the pearls and the swirls better.

Image is a digi download from Charmed Cards and gifts and papers are from K & Co.

4 in 1

Thhis card fits into four challenges the first being Friday Sketchers which is a fab sketch by Jacque. I have used the colour combination of Pink, Burgundy and Green with added Lace for the Creatalicious Challenge. I coloured the image with Copics and added some shading with a white Derwent Pencil and Blender which fits in with the Copic Creations" challenge and lastly the challenge for The Secret Crafter is One for The Girls. Well I do know my boys wouldn't appreciate this one at all so I guess it fits.

Thanks for looking

Just because

I made this card just because I wanted to play around a bit. The fairy image is a digi image from Cute Daisy May Sheet 99.

The toadstool houses are digi images from Bearly Mine Designs and the papers are also downloads but hand on heart I'm not sure where from, possibly funky fairies or Rasberry Road.

The flowers are Hero Art and the fairy charm is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts

I coloured the images with copics, the fairy wings I added Sakura Glitter pen and then I used Glossy Accents. I left them to dry naturally and as I used Copic paper which is really thin the images distorted quite a lot, which I liked as I feel it gives them added dimension without having to decoupage them, although I did add an extra set of wings to the fairy.

I kept the inside quite simple with a continuation of the papers and the fairy. The photo doesnt really do it justice as the light reflected off the glaze and gives it a milky appearance which it doesnt have IRL.

I now need to make a box for it as it is too delicate for an envelope.

I have just realised that I can enter this card into the Copic Colour Challenge which this week is

Thanks for stopping by.

GDT Card for It's a Crafter's Companion Anne's sketch

A great sketch over at Its A Crafters Companion by Anne this week and this is what I have done with it.

I finally got around to getting some Popcorn the Bear stamps and I am so glad I did cause he was lovely to colour. I decoupaged the bow to make that stand out.
The papers are from the Crafters Companion Everyday CD. I love the muted shades of these papers.
I coloured popcorn with my Copics and added a bit of bling from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by, would love to see you join in the challenge.

GDT creation for CDM 'Baby'

The theme for Cute Daisy May this week is 'baby'. I was really pleased about that as it gave me the kick up the proverbial to make this cot which is for my friend Diane who has just had a baby boy.

The template for the cot is by Arty Farty sorry I dont have the link.

To decorate I have used some of the cute images from Sheets Numbered 79 and 40 which you can purchase from here. I have coloured them all with Copics.

Don't know about you but I adore that little giraffe, I just think he is the best.

Hope you have a great day.

challenge 21

Having had loads of time to myself today I have managed to sneak in another card, this one is for the DU2DS Challenge which is a sketch to follow. I couldnt resist this image from Mo Manning of Dani and her friend. Its definetly the Ugg boots that do it for me.
Papers are from Hot Off The Press - not sure what pad though as have lost the front cover :-(

Well thats my lot for this weekend Im sure I will be back soon and hopefully with some really exciting news to share with you!!!!!!!!

Challenge 68

I really loved making this card for Sketch Saturday. The image is another from Mo Manning, which I have coloured with Copics. I used papers from Raspberry Road and buttons from stash. The sentiment I did on the computer. I used Peeled Paint Distress Ink around the edges as I didnt want the stark white contrast. The Rafia is from Bunny-Zoe and I used threads of it in the buttons.

I have to also mention my hubby Phil who made me the stand to put my cards on for taking photos. Anything to shut me up Lol :-)

3 in 1. Song Title, Watercolour and Arianne's Sketch

I decided to enter the House Mouse Challenge for the first time this week - went to check the challenge out and almost had to change my mind as I only have a couple of the stamps. The challenge is song titles and I admit on my own I couldn't think of one to go with this image. But a quick google and I was up and running again, has anyone heard of Madonna's 'Jump' ok I havent either but google even had the words!!!!!!!!
I have followed the sketch br Arianne at Sunday Sketch and Stamp which I loved and am sure I will use again.
I have coloured my image with...................
No not copics today..............
I have water coloured with distress inks so I can enter this in to the Lots To DoChallenge which is Watercolouring somewhere on your project.
the papers are BG Porcelain Pad and the maroon is is actually sticky velvet - not sure where it came from, but love it.

Challenge 15 Donna's Sketch

Have managed to get my entry for Stampin for the Weekenddone in plenty of time this week. The challenge is a sketch. I have used a digi image by Mo Manning Siku and Shiya which I coloured in copics and added Woodware Fluffy Stuff for the fur around their coats which I sprinkled with glamour dust whilst stil wet.
The charm was from Donna and the icicles are punches.

Have just looked at the post and have to apologise for the bad picture - the colours of the papers are far nicer IRL!

Pink and ? First CDM Guest Designer Card

I am so pleased to be able to show you my first guest designer card I have made for the
Cute Daisy May Challenge.

I have used the fairy from Sheet No. 82 which you can purchase Here
Unfortunately it is not very clear in the pictures, but I have decoupaged her and placed her inside a box frame. As this made the card a lot thicker than normal I also made the box to put her in. I coloured another fairy for the inside to cover the indentation of the the frame.
I have used downloaded papers from funky Faries for my background and added flowers from my stash. The sentiment is from the Women's Collection by Whiff of Joy.

Thanks for taking the time to look and why not enter my Candy whilst your here celebrating my GD posts.

Sketch 1

I made this card to enter into a new challenge which is run by Chelsea Crafting Life's Pieces. Chelsea is the designer of the Gurlee Girl Stamps that are so cute. The first challenge is a sketch. I have used a christmas fairy 'Holly' from Mo Manning atDigital Pencil Too.

This little fairy just hopped into my basket yesterday whilst I was browsing Mo's shop - I have no idea how she got there, but thought it would be rude not to purchase her when she had gone to all that trouble. LOL.

I coloured her in Copics and added Sakura glitter pen to her dress and Glamour Dust to her wings.

The card is from Kanban and rest is from stash.

Friday Sketchers 68

Hiedi has done the sketch over at Friday Sketchers this week.
I have used 'Off to Granma's' a digi image by Mo Manning.

I have actually coloured two of these images but must confess to not being very happy with either as for some reason I seemed to go over the edges on both of them and also got some bleeding of the colours. Hence images have been cut out but with the trees in the background I think she looks more a part of the scene.

I thought I would still use them though as hand made is supposed to be handmade not factory perfect LOL. For the tree background I sprayed glimmer mist over a dreamweaver stencil and the rest of the papers and sentiment are Earths Palette by Hot off the Press.

The flowers are Petaloo collage set. The hand made by charm is from Poppy Petal Designs

Favourite Colours

The challenge at Copic Creations this time is simply your favourite colours. I found that really hard to decide so I cheated and used yellows and blues because I find them the easiest to use at the moment.

I have used one of Mo Manning's fabulous digi images Mummu on her bike.

The papers are from DCWV The Garden Party Stack and flowers were from stash.
