Altered Photo Box

Hello Peeps

Wow the last two weeks have been totally manic I had to go to Manchester to work for a few days followed by the Heartfelt Retreat in Warwick back for a day and off to Euro Disney for a few days with my 3 year old grandson (where it rained continually) back from there totally knackered  and straight out to see Miss Saigon with a real good friend Jan.

Here's a photo of my gorgeous little munchkin Mason at Disneyland.

I made this box for Jan for her travel photos. Inspired by Penny's use of metal embellishments and paints I made this without a piece of designer paper or copic in sight.

I stuck a whole mixture of things on the box which I then covered in gesso, added Paperartsy Grunge paste and crackle paste using various stamps and masks.
I then painted it with Very Berry, Rose, Smoked Paprika, Blood Orange and Claret Fresco Acrylic paints by Paperartsy. I then used black gold and white acrylic paints which I dry brushed over the top. Added Treasure gold in areas.

Some close ups of the details.

I then sprayed red glimmer mist over the whole thing, followed by a pearl and gold mist.

The insert is a postcard embossing folder I think maybe spellbinders but not too sure.
The bird and elephant I picked up at Camden Market along with other metalic bits.
The cogs and corner embellishments are from Make It Crafty
The faces I made with air dry clay.
Letters are Tim Holtz die cuts with gold Treasure Gold
and a quick look at the back
