Hey the weekend is here and its a bank holiday yippee (it is of course raining though) still plenty of time for crafting so hope to see loads of entries into the new challenge at Make It Colourful.
This week we want you to have a try at skies, but hey this is make it colourful so it cant be just any old sky lol
we want to see a
SUNSET WITH CLOUDS.
Anyways I am really pleased with the effect I achieved
Heres a bit of a closer view.
The ballons are of course by Make it crafty which you can get Here there is a great scene which goes perfectly with the balloons too, which I was gonna do till blisters burst, but you can see that HERE
HOW TO DO THE SKY
Mountain Meadow Big and Juicy Pad.
I took most of the ink of on scrap paper then lightly brayered onto the glossy card. I then got a slighly wet paintbrush and removed the ink where I wanted my clouds and dried straight away with a piece of kitchen towel. I then brayered the same colours on again (still very lightly) which gave a lighter shade to the clouds. I then took some of the darker mauve ink from the pad on my paintbrush and highlighted the clouds ( I used quite a wet paintbrush) and the wiped majority of it off again with paper towel. When dry I gave it a bit of a polish with the towel. Hey presto done in under 5 mins and no sore fingers.
This week the challenge is sponsored by Tiddly Inks check out there cute images and papers.
