Playin with JOFY

Had a bit of a play today with some of the JOFY stamps that I got at Stamparama - I even had a play with the Paperartsy Paints that I have been collecting but  not really used.

I dont normally do things like this so was quite pleased with how they have turned out!

Slight problem with the first pics though had camera sidewise sforgetting that
got new computer which by the way has windows 8 OMG what is that all about

Gonna take me forever to learn how to use it lol.

Any-ways what I forgot was that I haven't got office installed yet and don't have any editing programmes on it so cant turn piccies round duh!

Oh well you kinda get the idea without having to hurt your neck too much I hope.

This first one is using the paints - I used five colours of the opaque paint for the background on hardboard and then used translucent to colour the flowers with.
I then coloured some hammered card with the same colours and made a little pocket to put it in.

I stamped the flower head out a few times from the coloured card scraps and painted to match the picture I layered the flowers and attached at the opening of the pocket.

Im thinkin the pocket looks a bit bare now though so may have to go back and add some thing!!!

The next two are more in my comfort zone and back to using my copics and distress inks.

I actually ended up with the wrong JOFY set these flowers were supposed to be owls and birdhouses lol, Leandra was gonna replace for me but I decided that I quite like them so needed to keep them and get the owls next time. (which is not bad cos when I first saw these stamps sets I didnt think I liked them good job its our prerogative to change our minds lol).

You Can Stick It - New Fab n Funky Challenge

Hi Everyone
Ciska has set the challenge for this week over at Fab n Funky
and she has chosen
'You Can Stick It'

or

Use Stickers or Peel Offs on your project
(anything that sticks on its own really)
This week we have
sponsoring us
and I got to play with a real great silhouette image

I used the image with plenty of die cuts - when I started I couldn't find my peel offs anywhere (I cleared up lol) so went with sticking a few self stick pearls around
when I had finished I remembered where I'd put my peel offs
I couldn't find any black ones but did manage to find an image which kind of
fit my theme in silver
I used a sharpie to colour the peel off black and added it to the inside of my card.

Hope you like what ive done sorry photos not great I was getting way too much bounce back!.

Wedding Stationery

Finally got round to taking some photos of the Wedding
stationary to share with you.
Numpty that I am I never thought to take any before I gave them to be sent out so had
to wait till after the wedding and pinch the the table menu and my place name lol.
And the invite is the one sent to me!!!!!!

Oh yeah forgot to say I am known as his other mum  (always knew when he was in trouble at his house because he would end up at mine like a bad penny),

I had major problems matching the colour scheme that the bride wanted and wasnt able to get any teal paper for backing paper anywhere so ended up using embossing powder.

Each segment of the invite and RSVP has backing paper so there was lots of embossing to do.

The rest of the stationery kept to the same theme
I used a sissix folder for the pattern and added pearl drops to each pattern centre. (And of course as soon as I finished doing the embossing through my cuttlebug (good arm excercise) I got an ebosser how much easier would that have been lol.)

Will have to wait for the thank you cards till the happy couple get back from honeymoon and send some out.

Looks like Summer - Fab n Funky challenge

Helloooo and Happy Wednesday

You may have noticed I have been very bad at blogging for the past few months, this was because I have been doing all the wedding stationary for my son's best friends wedding.

I made 170 wedding invites, 170 RSVPs, 90 place cards, 120 thank you cards, plus menus and table plans it was a real labour of love.

The wedding took place on Sunday and was really lovely.
Here's me with my son who was the best man.

and here's my gorgeous grandsons with Grandad looking totally cool in their matching outfits.

When I get a chance I will take some photos of the stationary and share.

Meanwhile its time for a new challenge at
 which is....

Anything that Looks Like Summer!

this week we have two amazing sponsors

Who is offering one winner their choice of 5 digital images!
