Make It Colourful - Black and White or Sepia - Vintage

Thank goodness its the weekend at last it has been a real long week for me at work I worked all day yesterday then went back at 7:00pm and finished at 3:00 am this morning, just a touch tired now. still get the housework done and I can sit for rest of day or Play lol.

And of course as its a new weekend its also time for a new challenge at Make It Colourful and this week is one of my favourite challenges Monotone we want to see your black and white or sepia creations.

For my card I have used Fairy Tree House and Blue Fairy from sweet Pea Stamps.

And to colour I used............

Nope it wasn't copics, just for a change I used Prismacolour Pencils and Gamsol for blending.

The great thing about the pencils are all the different shades you can create with just one pencil for this fairy I only used one colour which was PC944.

The Dream sentiment is a Sissix Die cut which I coloured with the pencils and then triple embossed.

Now you need to pop over to see the rest of my teamies designs, I cannot believe I am in the same DT as these ladies, there work is jaw dropping incredible, I am already learning so much from them. So get on over and be prepared to be amazed.

Hugs Beccy x

I am soooooo loving these Sweet Pea images, that so far I have another 7 coloured ready to mount lol.

This one I coloured with Copics, papers are K & Co I didnt have any card for mounting that was the right colour so I used my copic pens on white pearl paper for the matting, which gives the soft sheen. Embellies are from Swarovski.

Make It Colourful - Cool or Warm DT

Yoohoo, its finally arrived! Yep today is the first of the all new and improved challenges at Make It Colourful
and what a great challenge it is for all those out there who like to colour, whether you are a total beginner or more experienced, there will be hints and tips for us all to learn from along the way.

This week we want to see WARM or COOL colours on your projects.

If your not too sure which are warm colours pop over to the challenge site where Zoe has added a colour wheel, but basically the warm colours are the reds, yellows and browns and the cool colours are the blues, greens and mauves.

For my project I went with the COOL colours. The picture is two images from Make It Crafty Sapphire Sitting and Hidden Chair, which I merged using My Craft Studio (these are great CD's if you dont have a graphics programme and are soo easy to use)
I coloured the image with my favourite medium Copics, paper is from Bearly MIne Designer Extreme 2, Butterfly is from Klever Konstruction, Pearls are from stash which I coloured with Copics. The gorgeous swirls are from a really lovely set of Hearts and Swirls laser diecuts, which can be purchased from the store. Here's a close up so you can see how intricate they are.
I coloured the swirls with Copics and then sprayed them with Crafters Companion Silver Glitter Spray and added a pearl.

Well I really hope you join in with our challenge, there is some really cool prizes (and warm too lol)1 pack of red ciao markers R22, 27, 29 and 1 pack of blue ciao markers B00, 02 05 to resemble the warm and cool challenge and dont forget to pop over and see the rest of the teams projects, there is some really awesome talent on this team, the colouring these Ladies do is AMAZING, I just hope it rubs of on me lol.

Challenge 1

The very first challenge at Bearlymine Challenges is a sketch challenge by the oh so talented Donna. Having always loved Donna's digi papers I wanted to give this one a go.

I used one of the Sweet Peas Stamps that I coloured over christmas Blue Fairy by Meredith Dillman, corse that led to a bit of a problem as the design really should be a circle but I didnt have enough paper around the image to make a circle, so I have cheated a little and used my label die.

The image is coloured with copics and the papers are from Bearly Mine Designer Extreme 2.

Ribbons and Bows

Wow it seems like forever since I last posted, I hope that all who celebrate it had a great christmas and wish everyone a Happy New Year.

I had a bit of an upsetting time before christmas as my two cats Casper and Tigger were poisoned with Anti freeze and had to be put down, they were brothers and coming up for 10 years old so were definetely part of the family and are greatly missed.

Hubby bless his heart though went all out to cheer me up over xmas and bought me some fabby presents, new copic markers yahooo and some gorgoeus stamps from 'Sweet Pea Stamps' which meant I had a great excuse to sit and colour over the holiday period, which I did!!!! I really loved colouring these images there is so much detail you can really bring them to life. I was a bit worried that I wasnt going to be able to do them justice, but am really happy with the results I have achieved. Now all I need to do is make them all into cards lol.

This gorgeous image Dara by Meredith Dillman is the first of them that I have managed to put onto a card. (I remember the days when I had a waist like that, which shows I have got a blinkin good memory!) She is coloured with copics,  the ribbon was plain white which I coloured with copics to match her dress and the flowers are from Wild Orchid .
