Fake It, Distressing and Buttons

Okay I know Ally Pally is on Saturday and I know I really should have waited but I had some Beatrix Potter Stamps arrive in the post today that I had forgot I ordered I hust love it when I get something like that) and I popped out to Costco to stock up on essentials like Loo roll (such an exciting life I lead) when I must have had my radar switched on high cos I found lurking among the shelves a fabulous find - a tote bag type thing filled with 12x12 vintage papers, well over 100 sheets and there all double sided, well could I resist of course not, I'm just gonna have to ration the loo roll now lol.

Anyway I couldnt wait to start inking these little babies up, so the first one I did is the Tailor of Gloucester.

I followed the sketch for Stamp with fun (only when I finished did I realise that the sketch was for last weeks challenge Duh), not that it matters cause the sketch fit really well. My rolled bits of paper are fake material, so if not too late could possibly enter into Papertake Weekly.

coloured image with distress inks and distressed the edges added some buttons ant there you have it.

I just got reminded by my blogger mate Charlie that this card also fits in with the Cupcake Craft Challenge which is distressing and the Whimsy Stamp Challenge which is buttons.

Thanks for looking.

challenge 2, Swirls and Pearls

Well this is just a tad on the late side - in fact skin of teeth comes to mind, but I made this card for Chelsea's Challenge, I think it also fits the Cupcake challenge which is Pearls and swirls - sorry not a great photo but if you enlarge it you can see the pearls and the swirls better.

Image is a digi download from Charmed Cards and gifts and papers are from K & Co.

2 DP's 1 Ribbon and 3 Buttons

3 Buttons 2 Designer Papers and 1 Ribbon is the recipe for the challenge at
Cupcake Craft Challenges this week.
I have used this cute little Gurlee Girl image Cammy, which was a
prize sponsored by the incredibly talented Chelsea Dang, this is the link to her blog - definetly recommend you take a look at the fab layouts Chelsea makes.

Well I hope to those that it applies that you have had a great Bank Holiday and aren't too disappointed if you have to go back to work tomorrow.

Card for a man/Frames

This is my entry for the Cupcake Craft Challenge set by Denise, which is a card for a man or boy. I have made a few boys cards just lately so thought I would make a male card.

I used the Creat a Scene stamps by Creative Expressions and papers from Hot Off The Press Boys to Men.

I used Rangers Distress Inks Vintage Photo and Frayed Burlap and added some fibres.

I have been a bit cheeky and added this card to the Rainbow Lady's challenge which is frames.

Challenge 38

Here is my entry for the Cupcake Craft Challenge numbers which was set by Claire this week.
I decided to keep the card simple, no ribbons, no flowers and no fancy papers , so it can be used for a boy or girl. I have used 'Trump' from Bearly Mine, who I think is adorable and a Cute Companions number stamp, which I have coloured with H2Os.

Proud as Peacocks

I was on a bit of a Peacock theme in case you haven't guessed and realised that this one fits in with the Cupcake Craft Challenge which is 'One Layer'. I purposely kept this card simple to give what I hope is an elegant feel. I used an Artylicious Stamp coloured with Sakura pens and mounted on some sparkly paper and matching ribbon.
