Asian Wedding

Just a quick post but a lot of piccies lol. Just wanted to share with you a card I made for a work colleague who wanted a card for an Asian wedding.
She asked for an envelope as well as a card as she was giving money to the couple. The only other stipulation was that it was silver and white and not typical Asian,

My lovely Robo craft came to my rescue and I first of made a money envelope with Mirri card and white peralescent paper. The card kinda developed from there and i used the envelope as the main design of the card. I used Marianne Creatable dies on the corners and some sissix flourishes.

This is the front with the envelope closed and attached .
And here you can see how it opens

The hearts came from a cake decorating shop.

just a quick pic of the box to go with the card.

Sunshine and Smiles

I just love this cute little Lily of the Valley girl, I reckon she really wanted a pony and nothing else is good enough LOL.

I coloured her with Copics to match the DP the orange papers are floral dreams by Foundations the green is card I have had in my stash for ever I think from the paperbox.
The swirls are Marianne designs die cuts and the Border is a Spellbinders Die.
I had already laid out my card when I found the perfect sentiment as I didnt have room for it on the outside I put on the inside and carried the theme through.
Here's a close up of the sentiment LOL. I would have liked a Dont worry be happy but thought this was quite tongue in cheek.
The tag is spellbinders too and the sentiment is LOTV.

Art Deco

I made this card for a colleague and good friend of mine, who has taken voluntary redundancy from our department. Carol just loves all things Art Deco and Bling, so I'm pretty sure that she will like this card. Because lots of people want to sign it I made it as an A4 card which was a challenge in itself, 6 x6 is soo much easier.
The image is from Lilac Lemon designs which is one of a set that I have had for ages and never got round to inking, I coloured the image with my favourite copic colours.
The swirls are also from a set that I have had forever but I cant remember where from. The swirls were embossed in silver for added bling.
The die cut swirls were cut with my Robo craft.
Plenty of swarovski gems were added and silver mirri card for backing and ribbon coloured with matching green copics to join the card.

I added fluffy stuff and diamond glitter for the stole, the piccies dont show just how much this card sparkles though.

Make I Crafty DT - 3D Creations 'Anything but a Card'

There's a new challenge starting today at Make It Crafty and we would like to see "Anything but a Card", so what better excuse for me that make a start on some boxes for the little extra pressies for my family.
This first twist top box is for my DIL and I have used Sitting Sapphire a great little digi which you can get from Make It Crafty. I love the face on this little fairy. She has been coloured with Copics and had Stickles on her wings.  The flowers are by Prima and I have coloured them with Shimmers. The aperture was made with a Spellbinders Labels Die in my NEW Grand Calibut, this was so much easier to do in the Calibur as it takes A4 size paper, so I didnt get any creases where I didnt want them.
This next box is for my Grandson and I have used one of the great Santa images available at Make it Crafty this one is Cheeky Santa.
The border is from a Sissix Die and the lettering is Tim Holts

OH well two down, only another 6 to go and then they will be ready to fill with some of their favourite things!

Pop on over to the rest of the DT blogs where you will get loads more inspiration.

Challenge 84 Claudia's Sketch

I made this card for the Friday Sketchers Challenge which was a great sketch by Claudia. I used a Cute Daisy May image of a bridesmaid for this card which I coloured with Copics.

The Papers are from Paper Pizzazz Wedding Stack.

Flowers are from Craft Creations - Ribbon from Stash.
This also fits this weeks Papertake Weeklky Challenge and Stampin for the Weekend of New Beginnings and Fab n Funky Challenges Anything goes and ABC Challoenge L for Layering.

Well the good news is it hasn't snowed here today - in fact we have had a bit of a thaw so getting to work tomorrow should be a bit easier.

challenge 28

Just a quick post I made this card following the sketch at Papertake Weekly.

The image is a download from Cuddly Buddly Crafts. DP's are Eskimo Kisses by Basic grey. I added snow Tex round their feet, havent used that before and I have to say am well impressed with the results, I reckon I will be using this loads (should have got two pots lol). Snowflakes are from the xmas decorations section at the Range with a spellbinders die cut one to add a bit of extra bling.

Fake It, Distressing and Buttons

Okay I know Ally Pally is on Saturday and I know I really should have waited but I had some Beatrix Potter Stamps arrive in the post today that I had forgot I ordered I hust love it when I get something like that) and I popped out to Costco to stock up on essentials like Loo roll (such an exciting life I lead) when I must have had my radar switched on high cos I found lurking among the shelves a fabulous find - a tote bag type thing filled with 12x12 vintage papers, well over 100 sheets and there all double sided, well could I resist of course not, I'm just gonna have to ration the loo roll now lol.

Anyway I couldnt wait to start inking these little babies up, so the first one I did is the Tailor of Gloucester.

I followed the sketch for Stamp with fun (only when I finished did I realise that the sketch was for last weeks challenge Duh), not that it matters cause the sketch fit really well. My rolled bits of paper are fake material, so if not too late could possibly enter into Papertake Weekly.

coloured image with distress inks and distressed the edges added some buttons ant there you have it.

I just got reminded by my blogger mate Charlie that this card also fits in with the Cupcake Craft Challenge which is distressing and the Whimsy Stamp Challenge which is buttons.

Thanks for looking.

Thank You, No rubber Faries and Wings and Words

I am also going to enter this card into the Lots to do challenge which is words this week and the Allsorts challenge which is not to use rubber stamps.

I decided to make a push me pull you card for this weeks challenge over at Cute Daisy May which this week is a Thank You card or something.

I have used another little fairy which is from sheet 82.
I printed her out on pearlescent paper to give her a bit of a sheen and decoupaged her for the front of the card. I put a single image on one side of the pull me and text on the other which I did on the computer.
I coloured her in copics and used Shimmerz on her wings and added Sakura Gel pen and glitter pen to the flowers in her hair.
I haven't used any DP's as I wanted all the focus to remain on the image.

The challenge for Papertake Weekly
is faries and wings so I am going to enter this one there too.

Sketch 22

Here is my entry for this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge
which is a great sketch
I used a digi image by Mo Manning, I just love these mice, they have so much personality.
I have coloured them with copics. I printed the papers a couple of weeks ago and duh I cant remember where there from!!!!! I used a punch and glitter for the snowflakes and the metal snowflake was given to me by Donna.
Hope you like.

Sketch 65

Its Sketch 65 over at
SketchSaturday and this is my take on the sketch - I have used another of those gorgeous Victoria Case stamps from SCACD.
I have used a mixture of distress inks, Copics and Sakura glitter pens to colour the image.
Flowers are petaloo which I coloured with glitter pens and I have added loads of gems for a bit of bling so I am also going to enter this into the Papertake Weekly Challenge which is a choice of their past challenges to celebrate their 100th Challenge.

OMG how dozy am I when I picked out this stamp this morning it was to enter the CuteCardThursday challenge which this week is Lazy Dayz and I thought this kinda fit the bill.
