Snow

Those eagle eyed amongst you will probably see a bit of a theme going on here - I am loving the monochromatic look at the moment and have probably got a bit carried away with the distress inks.

I am entering this one into the The Secret Crafter Challenge which is Snow.

I turned the card into an Easel card so am going to enter this into the Secret Crafter Challenge and the Crazy 4 Challenges which are both Easels and Papertake Weekly which is Digi Sparkle and Roses on Paper Christmas - I realy love these cards so expect to see a few more.

The greeting is from Fairy Doodles which I embossed with silver fish Cosmic shimmer embossing powder.

Charms are from Nikki over at BunnyZoes.

Papers are really old no idea where they come from!!!!!

GDT project for Stampin for the Weekend - Halloween

I am soo glad Friday has arrived so I can show you what I have created as a Guest Designer for the Stampin for the Weekend Challenge which this week is 'Halloween' and is being sponsored by

Donna is giving away this fantastic CD to the winner this week. If you havent seen her CD's before check them out Here you wont be disappointed, Donna's papers are gorgeous.

I have never made Halloween things before and I guess you will be able to tell I had great fun and maybe got a little bit carried away!!!!!!!!!
Sending Halloween cards in the UK is not the norm, but every year we have a couple of little chinese girls trick or treating in their withches outfits and they are so cute, so I thought I would make some special treat holders for them.

The treat holders were made from patterns which I got from Martha Stewart.com and altered just a bit. I found the gorgeous little girl witch at Digital Ink Co. called I Wanna Go Too isnt she just adorable. I coloured her with Copics and attached her to my small treat holders.
The sitting witch, and ghost are from Victoria Case.
Sweets are from Sainsbury's and I am going to try and be good and not pinch them!

I then got completely into the Halloween 'Spirit' and made a card anyway.
Once again I used 'I wanna go too' and the backing papers and insert are from Designer Extreme III. the added cat and bat I cut out from another sheet of Donna's backing paper.

The haunted house is another digi image by Victoria Case and the Boo is Digital Ink.

I have to show you this last photo as I had this great idea that the treats would look really good if I took the photos with a lighted pumpkin, so I made my Baby Boy (he's 24) carve a pumpkin for me, which looked brilliant in the dark, but the treats didnt show up as well as I hoped, but after all his work I felt he deserved the recognition.

Thanks for looking and I am really looking forward to seeing what you all come up with for the challenge.

I going to enter the card into the The Play Date Cafe Challenge which is a colour challenge and the holders into the Saturday Spolight Challenge which is treat holders and the The Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge which is Orange and 1 other colour.

Dig Deep, Challenge 20. Create a Card

This is my entry for the Stampin for the Weekend Challenge which is a sketch by Amy.
I have used another of the House Mouse stamps that I got at Ally Pally - I think this has to be my favourite. The two little mice on the sides are from an older stamp so I shall enter this into the Secret Crafter Challenge

DP paper is Hot Off The Press and plain vellum which I have stamped swirls onto and added Sea Foam Embosing Powder which I have had for and never used :-(

I am also goint to put this in the Lotstodo Challenge which is to create a card. I think I've got that one okay.

Dress up those trees, Autumn Colours, Autumn Glory, Orange, Brown and Leafy Green

I have had a little play today with my brayer and and adirondack ink pads, which have been lying in my craft cupboard for at least a year without seeing daylight, I brayed the background and then used 6 different stamps by Lavinia. The tree and leaves are seperate stamps so I am going to enter it into the challenge at Saturday Spotlight which is 'Dress Up Those Trees'. The idea is to add something to a tree ie baubles to a xmas tree or snow to a fir tree, but im hoping adding leaves to a bare tree trunk counts.

Anyhoo this is a totally different card for me, but I am really pleases with the result and will probably make a few more as it was sooo quick.

I am also entering this card into the By the Cute and Girly> challenge which is autumn Glory and the Stampin for the Weekend challenge which is a colour combo of orange, brown and leafy green - It also fits into the Secret Crafter Challenge which is Autumn Colours.
I know this is not a great photo as I took it inside hopefully I will manage a better one today.
Hope you like it.

4 in 1

Thhis card fits into four challenges the first being Friday Sketchers which is a fab sketch by Jacque. I have used the colour combination of Pink, Burgundy and Green with added Lace for the Creatalicious Challenge. I coloured the image with Copics and added some shading with a white Derwent Pencil and Blender which fits in with the Copic Creations" challenge and lastly the challenge for The Secret Crafter is One for The Girls. Well I do know my boys wouldn't appreciate this one at all so I guess it fits.

Thanks for looking

Challenge 42

Well its a bit late but The Challenge for Secret Crafter this week is a recipe. 3 buttons, 2 design papers and 1 ribbon. This is what I came up with - the image is a download from Charmed Cards and Crafts, which I think is real cute. I am trying to use up paper that I have acquired over the years rather than print out new ones - some of them are really bright colours which are way out of my comfort zone, but I kinda liked this once I put it together and think it works ok. The buttons I coloured with my copics to keep the colour scheme going.

Pink Turquoise and a hint of Brown challenge 34/Curly Swirly

For the Secret Crafters Challenge of Pink. ~Turquoise and a hint of Brown I have used a Cute Daisy May image which I coloured with Copics.

These gorgeous papers are from the Extreme Designer Vol 2 cd by Bearly Mine Designs.

Flowers are from the candy I got from Donna.

Swirls and leaves are sissix die cuts. decorated with a pearl pen.
I continued the theme on the inside of the card too, as the image is digital I flipped her so that she faces the opposite way.
I have just realised that this card also fits the bill for the Allsorts Challenge which was set by Kirsten and is Curly Swirly.

Challenge 31 Brads or Eyelets

The challenge on Secret Crafter this week was to use Brads, Eyelets or both.
I used a Creative Expressions Fairy Poppets Stamp stamped and distressed with Vintage Photos and Frayed Burlap distress inks. I then tripled embossed the image.
Papers are from Hot of the Press.
Ribbons, Brads and Eyelets from Stash.
I continued the theme inside the card without the embossing.

Challenge 30

This weeks challenge on Secret Crafter is to use a flower on your design. I have used another of the digi images from Spiral Whisper which are coloured in copics, I added Glamour Dust to the wings. The flowers I cut on the Cricut and added gems to the centres. Papers are from the Walk in Wonderland Cd. I printed out the dragon background but it was too large for the card so I cut the dragon out and stuck it on with foam pads to make it stand out a bit as an extra embellishment.

I've made this card for my first attempt at the Secret Crafters's Challenge.

The theme was chocolate and orange and a lovely sketch to follow.

I have used backing papers from the fab Bearly Mine Designs, Designer Extreme vol 1. CD. Cuttlebug flowers, a vintage lady stamp done with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and gems and ribbon from stash.
