Challenge 98

I soo looved making this card and getting my fingers well and truly dirty!
I have got loads of male birthdays coming up so thought I would make a start on them today.

The stamps are from the Vintage Aviation Set by Creative Expressions.

I made the backgrounds with distress inks and a felt pad and then stamped the planes in the same colour inks.

The main image was stamped with versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder.

For the layout I followed the sketch at Friday Sketchers

Crafty Cat GDT

Lucky me I got picked as a guest designer for Crafty Cat Designs Trak sells really cute paper piecing CD's and Digi Images. I got to choose one of her Digi's to make a card and I chose the cute little fairy girl, with my DIL in mind as it was her birthday and she is a little princess lol!
For my card I followed the sketch from Friday sketchers

and made this easel card in Lou's favourite colour purple, I also made the envelope to match.

The skirt of the faury I printed a few times and layered it for depth which you can kinda see here
I then used the same image in different sizes to decorate the coxes I made for her pressies, which if ur interested was new make - up and brushes.

You can check out what the rest of the design team have made Here

Challenge 84 Claudia's Sketch

I made this card for the Friday Sketchers Challenge which was a great sketch by Claudia. I used a Cute Daisy May image of a bridesmaid for this card which I coloured with Copics.

The Papers are from Paper Pizzazz Wedding Stack.

Flowers are from Craft Creations - Ribbon from Stash.
This also fits this weeks Papertake Weeklky Challenge and Stampin for the Weekend of New Beginnings and Fab n Funky Challenges Anything goes and ABC Challoenge L for Layering.

Well the good news is it hasn't snowed here today - in fact we have had a bit of a thaw so getting to work tomorrow should be a bit easier.

Hope your all staying safe and warm

Snow and #78

I was one of the lucky 150 to recieve a free digi image from In style Stamps. I chose an adorable Dressmaker, known as Seamstress Cynthia, and for the eagle eyed amongst you this is not it.

As I was looking to see which image I wanted I spied this little cutie Sandy and I bought her to enter into the Instyle Stamps Challenge which is Snow themed.

I followed the sketch from Friday Sketchers

I coloured Sandy in Copics and added the essential glitter. DP is from Bearly Mine Designs. Matting done with my Nesties and the snowflakes are a mixture of Spellbinders Snowflakes die and Christmas Decorations from the Range.

The Range snowflakes are irridescent and look so cool IRL and they were really cheap. A big thanks to Ju
for the tip. If you havent seen Ju's blog pop over and take a look she has some lovely creations.

4 in 1

Thhis card fits into four challenges the first being Friday Sketchers which is a fab sketch by Jacque. I have used the colour combination of Pink, Burgundy and Green with added Lace for the Creatalicious Challenge. I coloured the image with Copics and added some shading with a white Derwent Pencil and Blender which fits in with the Copic Creations" challenge and lastly the challenge for The Secret Crafter is One for The Girls. Well I do know my boys wouldn't appreciate this one at all so I guess it fits.

Friday Sketchers 68

Hiedi has done the sketch over at Friday Sketchers this week.
I have used 'Off to Granma's' a digi image by Mo Manning.

I have actually coloured two of these images but must confess to not being very happy with either as for some reason I seemed to go over the edges on both of them and also got some bleeding of the colours. Hence images have been cut out but with the trees in the background I think she looks more a part of the scene.

I thought I would still use them though as hand made is supposed to be handmade not factory perfect LOL. For the tree background I sprayed glimmer mist over a dreamweaver stencil and the rest of the papers and sentiment are Earths Palette by Hot off the Press.

The flowers are Petaloo collage set. The hand made by charm is from Poppy Petal Designs

Friday Sketchers 62, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

This is my entry for Friday's Sketchers http://fridaysketchersblog.blogspot.com/ who have a really great sketch this week.

I have used a Cute Daisy May digi image which I have coloured with copics. I added some ultra fine glitter to the skirt of the main image and Fairy dust to the smaller image inside, I must admit to prefering the ultra fine.

Ribbons are Anita's - papers I have had for ages not sure where from. Flower from The Range and the charm from my Indian shop.
I am also going to enter this in the Creative Card Crew Challenge http://creativecardcrew.blogspot.com/ which is girls just wanna have fun.

3 challenges in 1

Being as I havent had a lot of time this week, this card is gong to be used for three challenges.
The first is Friday Sketchers, which is a sketch by Claudia Rose. Second is the Copic Colour Challenge which this week is E47 Dark Brown, YG 23 New Leaf and YR68 Orange I have definetely used plenty of orange, the New Leaf green is on the flower and there is brown in her hair. And thirdly the challenge over at A Spoonful of Sugar is Summer, well I think the images are really summery.

I have used Bildmalarna Stamps, which I got from Nikki at Bunny Zoe's Crafts, Tosse Flower and Tossa Flower.

They have both been coloured with copics. The gorgeous ladybird charm on the front is from Kimmi at Poppy Petal Designs.

Flowers are from stash and the Ladybird on the inside is a paperchase pin which I cut the pin bit off of.
I managed to restrain myself on this card and used pearlescent papers that I have had for ages rather than print more.

Jeanettes Sketch

This is for the challenge over at Friday Sketchers I've turned the sketch round so Annie fits in a bit better. thought i would be a bit different with the inside on this one and added another couple of Annies. Although as I look at the inside now I think it looks a bit plain so I might add afew more embellishments. These gorgeous papers are from Donna's CD Creative Fusions, there is a whole set of matching papers with different themes on the CD, this particular set is centered around a gorgeous bear, as this is my all time favourite colour I will be using this set a lot methinks. I threaded Anna Griffen Ribbon through the lace. to match in with Annies dress. Hope you like it, thanks for stopping by.
