Make I Crafty DT - 3D Creations 'Anything but a Card'

There's a new challenge starting today at Make It Crafty and we would like to see "Anything but a Card", so what better excuse for me that make a start on some boxes for the little extra pressies for my family.
This first twist top box is for my DIL and I have used Sitting Sapphire a great little digi which you can get from Make It Crafty. I love the face on this little fairy. She has been coloured with Copics and had Stickles on her wings.  The flowers are by Prima and I have coloured them with Shimmers. The aperture was made with a Spellbinders Labels Die in my NEW Grand Calibut, this was so much easier to do in the Calibur as it takes A4 size paper, so I didnt get any creases where I didnt want them.
This next box is for my Grandson and I have used one of the great Santa images available at Make it Crafty this one is Cheeky Santa.
The border is from a Sissix Die and the lettering is Tim Holts

OH well two down, only another 6 to go and then they will be ready to fill with some of their favourite things!

Pop on over to the rest of the DT blogs where you will get loads more inspiration.

Other Theme Challenge at CDAC DT

Zoe from Make It Crafty is the host of the Other Theme challenge over at Crafters Digital Art Centre this and her theme is easy to guess for those that know Zoe, she would like to see you create a scene by combining two or more images.

But the best news is that she is for a limited time whilst the challenge is running giving you this fabulous Elves House Digi to start you off.

I have added a christmas tree behind the house and added Cheeky Santa, which you can get at Make It Crafty, to make my scene. Images are coloured with copics and I added loads of diamond dust for the snow.

Nana Vic And Make It Crafty DT

Story Time is one if the new images by Nana Vic which was inspired by a request from one of the members of CDAC. I put this image together with this versatile Fireplace Digi from Make It Crafty and using bits from My Craft Studio made a Christmas scene.

I coloured the images with Copics , the background DP I made using a Clarity Flourish Stamp and Fired Brick Distress Inks.

Using the first verse of Night befor Christmas I continued the story theme
and added another cute image by Nana Vic, which was one of her Vickie's Quickies, which she does on a Friday on CDAC and I know there are people there who just cant wait for Fridays to come round, so pop over and see what she has for you this week.

Anyways hope you like, Have a great day, evening anytime at all.

The challenge this week at Copic Creations is either browns or make a scene, well I best go for make a scene cause I sure aint used brown.

Warriors

I was asked to make a birthday card with a tribal image which I just didnt have - so I put in a request for an image at Crafters Digital Art Center and the fabulous Vickie of Nana Vic's Digitals managed to work out from my waffling exactly what I needed, and this is the image she sent me. Isnt it just fabulous.

The sunset was done on glossy card with distress inks and baby wipes, the moon is a stamp by Clarity.

I printed the image onto tracing paper and coloured the warriors with copics and mounted onto the sunset.

Added the frame which was made same way as the sunset with some leaves stamped on (still waiting for them to dry so I can touch up the leaf that didnt print)

I have never made a card like this before so am really please with how it turned out just a shame I didnt have any good embellishments that matched.

Make It Move

Yay I have finally managed to get my printer fixed and can once more play with my digis. Luckily it was just in time to join in with the this weeks challenge at Make It Crafty.
It's Zoe's turn at Make It Crafty Challenges to host the Technique Challenge and she has chosen
"Make it Move"
Zoe being the type of person she is has come up with a great tutorial for her sliding easel card which I attempted.

I followed the tutorial and this is what I came up with, have to say nowhere near as impressive as Zoe's creation, but not too bad for a first time late night effort. (It probabbly woould have looked better with the christmas trees I had ready to put on, until I realised that they were too big and stuck outside the card, guess that serves me right for not reading all the instructions before starting. Yep impatience is my middle name.

Pop by the challenge to check out all the other great moving cards that have been put together by the DT , your sure to be inspired.

For my card I used Christmas Elves House, and Cheeky and Cheery Santa which by the way you can get as a digi image or if your into ink in RUBBER. I just love both these Santa's and find them really great to colour. You can get your hands on them Here along with some other great images.

And Wow look what a terrific prize is up for grabs this week along with 2 images from Make It Crafty.
