Bonus Challenge

Today I have done the blog hop over at Stamptacular sunday challenge. It was a fun half hour or so reading what the design team like to do in the summer. There is also some challenges on the way, this is one I have done for Skraptacular Designs.
I have used a Sugar Nellie Stamp which I adore and coloured her with copics. The layout is a sketch of Donna's for the challenge, but I have to confess I turned it in order to fit the image on. The paper I have had for ages, it being one of those papers that I bought and loved it so much I didnt want to use it and kept saving it for something special! Well decided every card is special so have got to start using stuff and stop hoarding, cos I got no space. I used green mirri card and a sparkly green card as background.
Thanks for looking.
Beccy xx

Challenge 15

This is my entry for the copic colour challenge.

You had to use R59 cardinal, YG63 Pea Green and C3 cool grey.
I only had the C3 so I used the closest colours I had which is R35 Coral and G99 Olive on this gorgeous Sugar Nellie Stamp.

The background is some dull silver card and olive green card that I had in my cupboard.

I used green ribbons from Donna and red paper clips to decorate keepint the colour theme going.
I havent decorated the inside of this one yet.

Hope you are all enjoying the same lovely weather we have in London at the moment, I'm off to start the BBQ now before the kids descend on me.

Pink Turquoise and a hint of Brown challenge 34/Curly Swirly

For the Secret Crafters Challenge of Pink. ~Turquoise and a hint of Brown I have used a Cute Daisy May image which I coloured with Copics.

These gorgeous papers are from the Extreme Designer Vol 2 cd by Bearly Mine Designs.

Flowers are from the candy I got from Donna.

Swirls and leaves are sissix die cuts. decorated with a pearl pen.
I continued the theme on the inside of the card too, as the image is digital I flipped her so that she faces the opposite way.
I have just realised that this card also fits the bill for the Allsorts Challenge which was set by Kirsten and is Curly Swirly.

Scrap This

The Challenge this week is to use scraps - great idea - I have a drawer full of scrap bits that I save and then never use lol.
I kinda pinched this idea from my Big Sis and made a patchwork card from some of my scraps. I cut pieces of complimentary colours into 2 inch squares and glued them to CS.
I used a gold metallic pen to do some faux stitching, fraid I havent got a sewing machine I can use, OH says no point adding one to wish list cos I'd never find room on the table to use it!!!
I did the front and hadn't made any impression on my scrap bits so continued the patchwork on the inside.
The horse is a download from Victoria Case and the cowgirl is a stamp from the Young Uns set that I got at Ally Pally.
Flowers are from Donna and brad from stash. I also found this cute cat button and with his little Neckerchief I though he went well with the cowgirl image.
Hope you like it.

No Stamped Image

The challenge this week is No Stamped Image I have chosen some decoupage for my card, have to say though I have no idea where the image is from or the papers I have used.

Blue and Brown Challenge 32

Am a lot happier today, got my car back from the garage and the bill was not as steep as I feared. They said that I was lucky as the petrol hadn't gone through the engine, so it was only a matter of draining it and a couple o new filters. Of course I also had to refill the car, so my tank full of diesel in the end cost £320, guess I wont make that mistake again lol. BTW Thanks to everyone who sent good wishes, it really cheered me up..

This weeks challenge on WOJ is Blue and Brown.
I used this gorgeous boy stamped for me by Donna of Bearly Mine Designs and coloured him with Copics I used papers from Hot Off The Press. I added peel offs as thought the papers looked a bit dull and it needed brightening.

Card for a male Challenge 10

The challenge on Creative Inspirations this week is to make a card for a male, I had a new Sugar Nellie Stamp and a New Digi Image from Victoria Case and couldn't make my mind up which one to use for the challenge so I've done both. They have both been coloured in Copics and papers for both are a mixture from Hot Off The Press and the Gorgeous Bearly Mine Designs Cd's Extreme Designer 1 and 2. Ribbon came from Donna.

Monotone

Had a bit of a disaster yesterday went to petrol station yesterday and filled my baby up (my baby being my Peugeot 307 convertible) with petrol, which is fine cept it's a diesel car. Big Oops, it had to be picked up and taken to the garage today where it is waiting to have its engine cleaned out and I am waiting for the dreaded bill!!! (Add insult to injury I filled the car right up)

So to cheer myself up I thought I would make a card for the Cute Daisy May Challenge, hasn't really worked cos I don't like it now I have done it - think i'm gonna have to hit the chocolate instead.

Anyway I coloured this Cute Daisy May image with Tattered Rose Distress Inks and added some to the edges to take off the whiteness of the CS. I then decided that I didn't have any papers that matched and computer still playing up, so thought I would make my own. I used Terracotta and White Pearl Alcohol Inks on white shiny CS and acetate. I then embossed the acetate in my swirly cuttlebug folder.

Added flowers from Donna that I coloured with the Tattered Rose and added some pearls.

Pink and Brown

I made this card using another Victoria case image.
I wanted to do this image to show snails can be cute - not like the ones in my garden at the moment who are eating my plants like theres no tomorrow.
I coloured her with my copics and used glamour dust on her wings.
The papers are another selection from the Extreme Designer Vol 2 by Bearly Mine Designs (which I just managed to print out before the computer turned itself off). The flowers are from Petaloo and the brad was from Donna's Candy.

Heidi's Sketch

The sketch on Friday Sketcher is quite a simple sketch which was lovely.

I used a Cute Daisy May image and Anna Griffen Papers, roses and beads from stash.

One for the Boys

I got this image from Victoria Case Art Designs and couldnt wait to use it.
I coloured her with Copics and am really pleased with how she turned out.
The papers are from the Bearly Mine Designs cd Designer Extreme Vol 2.
The challenge on DU2DS is one for the boys - I guess this fits the bill.
I haven't added a sentiment as yet, cos feel it needs something quite witty - but cant think of anthing fitting - please feel free to add suggestions.

Dawny's Sketch 15

Sorry not a great picture this one me thinks I forgot to crop it - if I get chance I will do it later, but really need to get out into the garden and do some planting whilst the sun is shining.
For this card I used a Sweet Daisy May image which I coloured and cut out and sat her on a WOJ bench stamp that I also cut out - it's not to clear on this photo but the bench and girl are three dimensional. The sentiment is also from WOJ summer collection.
Hope everyone has a great bank holiday and the weather stays nice for all.
Thanks for looking and commenting it is greatly appreciated.

Sketch 17

Have made a couple of cards this morning, both of them looked good in my head, but having seen the finished products I'm thinking that is probably where they should have stayed.
This first one I did for the Inspirational Card Sketches.
I used a WOJ stamp from the summer collection, which I coloured in copics.
Backing papers are so old I dont know where they come from but thought they had a nice summery feel to them.
(I am scratching around at the moment for backing papers as the only computer I can print from is playing up and keeps cutting out - really frustraing as I only bought a new printer for it last month and I have some gorgeous cd's from Bearly Mine Designs that I can't wait to use properly argh)
Anyways the flowers , ribbons and charm are from the gorgeous candy I got from Donna (Bearly Mine Designs).

Spring colours and flowers

The chalenge for Cute Daisy May this week is spring colours and flowers.
I found these 12 x 12 papers hidden away in my cupboard - I have had them for so long I have no idea where they come from.
I coloured the image with Copics and have attached her with foam pads.
The ribbons are Anita's and flowers are a mixture of Petaloo and some from the flowers that Donna sent me.
Thanks for looking.

Shabby/Vintage challenge 7

Over on the Stamp With Fun Blog the challenge this week is Shabby/Vintage. I'm not too good at this sort of thing but thought I would give it a go.

The papers are from Designer Extreme Vol 2 and the flower is from Petaloo.

I chose an image from Sugar Nellie which I coloured with my new copics that my lovely hubby bought for me.

I had a lovely day today and feeling really lucky, the fabulous candy I won from Donna at Bearly Mine Designs to celebrate the launch of her new cd's arrived and was full of wonderful goodies including more of her beautiful cd's and then hubby suprised me with 36 new copic pens. How lucky am I?

challenge 31

For the Whiff of Joy challenge this week I used one of the new stamps from the summer range.
I coloured her with Copics. The papers are from the Bearly Mine Designs Designer Extreme Volume 2 cd. The papers are really lovely with some delicate shades unfortunately this photo doesn't do them justice.
Flowers are from Petaloo.
Thanks for looking.

Donna's Sketch Challenge 40

Donna did the sketch at CCC this week.

I used one of the New Whiff of Joy images from the summer colection which I coloured with copics, cut out and fixed with foam pads to give shape.

Papers are from Bearly Mine Designs Designer Extreme Vol 2.

Challenge 14

The challenge on the Copic Colour Bright Blue B14, Cadmium Red R27 and Acid Yellow Y08.

As these are such bright colours I couldn't think of a better image than Trump from Bearly Mine Designs.

  1. Papers are also from Bearly Mine and are from Designer Extreme Vol 2 (if you havent seen it yet you really need to check it out - its another fabulous disc, http://bmd-creations.blogspot.com/)

I added glssy accents to the balloons for a bit of a shine but hasnt worked to well on the copic paper and is beginning to crack.

I love the way the copics work on the copic paper but it is soo thin - has anyone got any suggestions as to better cs to use?

Challenge 9

This is my third card for the evening and I actually managed to stick to the rules of a challenge for this one.

The Creative Inspirations chalenge this week is a really lovely sketch, that I enjoyed doing.

I have used a Sugar Nellie stamp that I have coloured with watercolour pencils. Papers are from Papermania and DCWV. Flowers are by Petaloo.

(I just thought I would let you know that it was only as I was typing Petaloo that I realised that the name is probably pronounced as 'petal oo' not 'pet a loo' as I was thinking, thought it was a bit of a strange name for a company making such lovely flowers. lol).

Anyways I digress, gems and butterfly are from stash.

Thanks for looking.

First Kiss

I just had to do something with this cute Sugar Nellie stamp, I was going to do it for the Copic colour challenge but decided I didnt want to add yellow and these papers from Donna of Bearly Mine Designs cd Designer Extreme just went so well. I kept the card quite simple and am really pleased with the result.

Something Groovy

I have had these papers which reminded me of Austin Powers, hidden away for ever and was never to sure what to do with them till I got this digi image and thought she would be perfect as a bit of a groovy chick. This is the first time I have used such bold colours and not too sure if I like it - but at least its different.

Challenge 2 Maggie's Sketch

Migraine finally cleared up today - just in time to go back to work!

But the good news was my Whiff of Joy Summer Stamp Kit arrived today. Only problem was deciding which one to ink up first. In the end I turned them over and shuffled them and picked this one out of the pile -now how sad is that!!!!!!!

I made this card following the sketch for the Sunday Sketch ans Stamp Challenge.

I used my Spellbinders nesties and doodle parts in my cuttlebug. Flowers are from the Range.

Brown paper is Papermania the rest are from Ally Pally.
Once again flowers are from Range. Hope your not fed up of them yet cos I got hundreds. lol.

I have used Purrfect Playmates from Sugar Nellie. Coloured with copics.

The papers are Hot off the Press and the flowers are from Range.

Sketch 51

A really love sketch to follow for this weeks Sketch Saturday Challenge.

I have used another of the Sugar Nellie Stamps that arrived today, I'm not sure if these darling girls have names or not but this one is Country Garden.

The papers are Papermania Nostalgia Warm and Papermania glittered and embossed Vellum. I used a Sissix die cut for the edging.

Flowers are from Range and Gems and ribbon from stash.

Sketch 10 - Marlene's Sketch

I was soooo excited when the post man arrived this morning - he bought me my first Sugar Nellie Stamps and I just couldnt wait to try them out and what better way than with a challenge.

So this is my first entry for the Sugar Bowl Challenge, which is a sketch by Marlene, with the added element of buttons.

The buttons were the hardest part for me as I dont actually have any, but what I do have is the Spellbinders Heritage die set which has button dies.

I coloured the Sweet and Sassy Image with Copic's. The papers are DCWV, Ribbon is Anita's with maroon velvet backing, which I have had for ever and totally forgot about. Flower was from Range and gem from stash.

Card for a man/Frames

This is my entry for the Cupcake Craft Challenge set by Denise, which is a card for a man or boy. I have made a few boys cards just lately so thought I would make a male card.

I used the Creat a Scene stamps by Creative Expressions and papers from Hot Off The Press Boys to Men.

I used Rangers Distress Inks Vintage Photo and Frayed Burlap and added some fibres.

I have been a bit cheeky and added this card to the Rainbow Lady's challenge which is frames.
