Challenge 3. snowflakes

This is the second cute digi image that I got from the Greeting Farm after seeing a card made by Dawny P, you can see what she did with one of the images here.
The image I coloured with Copics and the backing papers are Bearly Mine Designer Extreme vol II
I used the sketch at the Anyone for Anya Challenge
I am also going to enter this into the Creative Card Crew Challenge which is snowflakes.

Back to the 80's

Here is my second guest designer card for the Stampin for the Weekend challenge which this week is 'Back to the 80's'and we have a list of song titles for you to choose from dont worry if you dont know the words to the songs, its just the title you need, which are (and of course I am far too young to know any of these NOT) •1. Girls on Film - Duran Duran
•2. Dirty Laundry - Don Henley
•3. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Cyndi Lauper
and the color combo is Purple, Orange and Blue.

We have another fabulous sponsor this week who are ofering a $25 gift voucher to the winner you can check out there store Here

For my card I chose Girls on Film and what better girls for that than the Gorjuss Girls.

I have used backing papers from Bearly Mine Designs, Designer Extreme Vollume II disc. and the 'film' I made wih plain black card and an inkssentials white pen.

As the images ended up being rather large I kept the rest of the card very simple and just added some flowers from stash and some Swarzkopf crystals and stars for bling, wording is rub ons from Tesco's.

As I had huge problems with my printer I easn't able to print out any more papers so I kept the inside really simple and just added another Gorjuss Girl to a plain insert.

Thanks for looking and I hope you take part in our challenge this week.

Spots and Stripes

I made this card cos I couldnt resist these cute little xmas mice which are from the Greeting Farm and realised that they fit with this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge which is Spots or Stripes.

Phil's Crafting

I thought I would share with you all how I get to spend so much of my free time crafting.

Phil my OH has his own crafting, he is in to making model helicopters and this is one that is nearing completion.

He airbrushed the canopy himself and having seen some of the shop purchased ones, I think he has done a fabulous job.

Thanks for looking and I know he would love to see your thoughts on his work.

Fall, Orange Yellow and DK Brown

This is my entry for Stamptacular Sunday Challenge which this week is Fall.

I have used a Sugar Nellie Stamp from the Autumn collection. I made the backing papers with distress inks and a Sheena Douglas Swirl Stamp. and the smaller piece was made using the 'Caught in Crystal' technique. I embossed the leaves with Clear embossing powder to make them stand out a bit more.

I just realised I can enter this card into the Play Date Cafe challenge which is the colours Orange Yellow and Dark Brown - the Dark Brown is on the embossing.

Challenge 8 Rachel's sketch

Whoops I almost forgot to post the card I made for this fortnights It's a Crafter's Companion Challenge which is a sketch by Rachel.

I still need to make loads of xmas cards so this was a good opportunity to get another one done. I used images from the Cute Companions Christmas sets, which I papertoled its a bit hard to see in the photos but you can see the shadows behind them.

I added fake snow to the mounds I made by tearing paper and added the snow to the icicle stamp as well

The stars and dots are Swavorski.

GDT project for Stampin for the Weekend - Halloween

I am soo glad Friday has arrived so I can show you what I have created as a Guest Designer for the Stampin for the Weekend Challenge which this week is 'Halloween' and is being sponsored by

Donna is giving away this fantastic CD to the winner this week. If you havent seen her CD's before check them out Here you wont be disappointed, Donna's papers are gorgeous.

I have never made Halloween things before and I guess you will be able to tell I had great fun and maybe got a little bit carried away!!!!!!!!!
Sending Halloween cards in the UK is not the norm, but every year we have a couple of little chinese girls trick or treating in their withches outfits and they are so cute, so I thought I would make some special treat holders for them.

The treat holders were made from patterns which I got from Martha Stewart.com and altered just a bit. I found the gorgeous little girl witch at Digital Ink Co. called I Wanna Go Too isnt she just adorable. I coloured her with Copics and attached her to my small treat holders.
The sitting witch, and ghost are from Victoria Case.
Sweets are from Sainsbury's and I am going to try and be good and not pinch them!

I then got completely into the Halloween 'Spirit' and made a card anyway.
Once again I used 'I wanna go too' and the backing papers and insert are from Designer Extreme III. the added cat and bat I cut out from another sheet of Donna's backing paper.

The haunted house is another digi image by Victoria Case and the Boo is Digital Ink.

I have to show you this last photo as I had this great idea that the treats would look really good if I took the photos with a lighted pumpkin, so I made my Baby Boy (he's 24) carve a pumpkin for me, which looked brilliant in the dark, but the treats didnt show up as well as I hoped, but after all his work I felt he deserved the recognition.

Thanks for looking and I am really looking forward to seeing what you all come up with for the challenge.

I going to enter the card into the The Play Date Cafe Challenge which is a colour challenge and the holders into the Saturday Spolight Challenge which is treat holders and the The Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge which is Orange and 1 other colour.

I Love You, Clare's Sketch

The theme for Cute Daisy May this week is 'I Love You'.
I decided to go with this real cute image of two girls, which I admit I was going to make as a Sister card Cept I couldnt find a stamp for sister and I was being a bit on the lazy side coz I couldnt be asked to turn on the main computer to print out a sentiment, so it turned into a BFF card, which i think still works for the theme.
The image comes from Sheet 80 which you can purchase from Here

The image is printed onto pearlescent paper so the girls have a nice sheen which doesnt come across in the photo :-(

I coloured them with copics and added some sakura gliter pen. The flowers are a mixture of Petaloo, Hero Art and Craft Creations.

The DP is Basic Grey Porcelain Pad.

I followed the sketch from Sunday Sketch and Stamp which was done by Clare and I must admit I loved it, it was so nice to work with I just know I will be using it again.

Dig Deep, Challenge 20. Create a Card

This is my entry for the Stampin for the Weekend Challenge which is a sketch by Amy.

DP paper is Hot Off The Press and plain vellum which I have stamped swirls onto and added Sea Foam Embosing Powder which I have had for and never used :-(

I am also goint to put this in the Lotstodo Challenge which is to create a card. I think I've got that one okay.

Make a scene

The challenge at Saturday Spotlight is to make a scene. It was very tempting to do a another fairy scene but thought as I only did one last week I should really try for something different. I used Vintage Photo Distress Inks to colour my cardstock and stamped the 4 images from the Create a Scene stamps by Sheena Douglas, in the same colour. I coated the scene with four layers of thick utee to get a really nice glazed effect, had a bit of a disaster then cause as it hardened the cardstock bent so I had to straighten it out and the glaze cracked - I finally managed to anchor it on about five sheets of card and reheated to get rid of the cracks, card is a tad heavy now so I dont reckon it will be going through the post. lol.

The challenge over at Charisma Cards is distressing so I am going to enter that one to.

Movies, Scallops

This is what I made for the House Mouse Challenge which this week is Movies - you had to fit your image into a film title. I decided on 'The Big Sleep' as fitting for this image.
I coloured the image with Distress Inks and papers are Hot Off The Press Earth's Palette.
I included a scallop type edging so am also entering this into the Creative Card Crew challenge of scallops.

Fairy Nuff DT Card for Cute Daisy May

Well don't know if you noticed but the title on my card has changed from GDT to DT - Linnie asked me to become a full time designer for Cute Daisy May well course I told her I would have to think about it, Not, I have always loved using digi images as they are so versatile and I adore Cute Daisy May, so of course it was a no brainer and I jumped at the invite.

So here is my first official DT card.

The challenge this week is Fairy Nuff (of course regulars to my blog will know, I dont do faries OFTEN lol) so this was a great theme for me. I used this gorgeous fairy which you can purchase from Here along with loads of other adorable images. (But don't worry you can still join us at CDM even if you dont have any of Linnie's images).
I coloured my fairy with copics, and added stickles to her wings for a bit of bling. The papers are double-sided from Costco, fairy charm is from BunnyZoe's and punches are Martha Stewart and El-Em.

I carried on the theme on the inside using another of those fairies by Linnie and the reverse of the papers I used on the front.

Thanks for looking.

Dress up those trees, Autumn Colours, Autumn Glory, Orange, Brown and Leafy Green

I have had a little play today with my brayer and and adirondack ink pads, which have been lying in my craft cupboard for at least a year without seeing daylight, I brayed the background and then used 6 different stamps by Lavinia. The tree and leaves are seperate stamps so I am going to enter it into the challenge at Saturday Spotlight which is 'Dress Up Those Trees'. The idea is to add something to a tree ie baubles to a xmas tree or snow to a fir tree, but im hoping adding leaves to a bare tree trunk counts.

Anyhoo this is a totally different card for me, but I am really pleases with the result and will probably make a few more as it was sooo quick.

I am also entering this card into the By the Cute and Girly> challenge which is autumn Glory and the Stampin for the Weekend challenge which is a colour combo of orange, brown and leafy green - It also fits into the Secret Crafter Challenge which is Autumn Colours.
I know this is not a great photo as I took it inside hopefully I will manage a better one today.
Hope you like it.

Celebration

The challenge over at Creative Card Crew is to make a Celebration card or project. This worked well for me as it is my DIL's Mums 40th today.
Now Jackie is the most ungirly person I know and hearts and flowers are just not her scene neither is turning 40. So I made a card with plenty of flowers and a nice big 40 reminder LOL. But then felt a bit guilty so I added some Candy that I just know she will love!

The gorgeous man is a digi image from Victoria Case. Papers are from a set I got at Costco. I cut the lettering and numbers with my Cricut which I know I do not use enough. Flowers and brads are from stash.

Pink Christmas - Cute Daisy May GDT Design

The challenge for Cute Daisy May this week is 'Pink christmas'.

I have used what just has to be my favourite of all Linnie's christmas images, I think she is so adorable and can be used in so many different settings. Pop over to Cute Daisy May Digi Stamps to check out the other adorable images that you can get for just £1.99.

To make my background I used Red Brick and Tattered Rose Distress inks. I used the same colours on my CDM. I added Glamour Dust on liquid pearls for the fur trimmings and for her muff I added glamour dust to woodware fluffy stuff and heated it to give a really puffy effect. The sentiment is from a Fairy Doodles christmas set.

Sketch 8

I wanted to make a get well card for a really special person Riet who is such a lovely blogger but is not at all well at the moment. I have used a House Mouse stamp which I coloured with distress inks and followed the sketch at Delightful Sketches.

I hope by the time Riet recieves this she will be feeling heaps better.

Challenge 4

Well I have finally managed to make a card for Crafting Life's Pieces with time to spare.
I have used a Sugar Nellie stamp coloured in copics with Fluffy Stuff on the muff and papers are from Kazban. She is mounted on a background made with my Spellbinders snowflake Impressibilitie, which was covered with Fired brick and vintage photo distress inks before covering with glossy accents.

Buttons

This is one of the House Mouse Stamps that my hubby bought me at Ally Pally last week, the challenge for House Mouse this week is Buttons so I have made this as a male card.
I coloured the image with distress inks and all the embellishments are from the Masculine set by Hot off the Press.

They are having a blog hop and release 9th October, and there is also a call for a guest designer head on over to Wags'n Whiskers to find out more:O)
